Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Corsair K55 is a nice keyboard for the price, being full sized with RGB lighting, nice media keys, and 6 programmable keys to help with games you may need them for. The keyboard gets the job done, but be warned if you're using Windows 10 as your operating system you will face problems from the Corsair iCue software. The software will cause crashes and may not work properly at all, Corsair has been slow to fix this issue so unless you're windows 8 and below, I do not recommend it. I'm still giving this 3 stars because media keys are a nice touch for someone like me who listens to music regularly.

The keyboard seems huge for what it is and the RGB is very limited in it’s use. It’s broken down into 3 sections on the keyboard and you can adjust them individually. The steam deck keys in the left are a great addition as well. Overall it looks and feels great but the mermaids seems bigger than necessary and the included wrist rest isn’t particularly useful.

I expected it to not be as premium feeling. The switches are plastic and not as clicky as the higher end models, but I am ok with that. The thing works great for what I need. Its just that for the price, and with the RGB colors built in, I really expected to be able to do more with the colors. Different patterns, fades, flashes....something. Would it have been too much to have just a couple of built-in light settings? Oh well. If thats my worst complaint about a keyboard, then you should kniw I consider it pretty decent. Buy it if you need a good keyboard and don't mind the single, pre-set led lightshow.

Membrane style keys. a cheap price for what doesn't feel like a cheap product. Love that it has media controls too. I find that it is a luxury I can't live without.
