Customers are saying
Customers find value in the K70 RGB PRO keyboard's quality, customizable RGB lighting, and comfortable wrist rest. Many appreciate the feel of the keys and the adjustable lighting options. While the response time and switches are well-received, some customers feel the price is slightly high and the keys are a bit sensitive.

Great mechanical keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great mechanical keyboard geared a little more towards a traditional setup for work and light mix with gaming. It doesn’t have the extra macro keys and not as much RGB and gaming or audio type controls keeping it paired down. It feels a little more muted then the true gaming keyboard (which has the cherry mx speed key set) but overall is a pleasant typing experience.

Feels cheap
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Icue is horrible. All these years and it still functions the same way. That's the software out of the way. Now the board. Feels light and actually moves a bit when stationary. The wrist rest is cheap, feels cheap, and it serves zero purpose. The lighting, at max, is dull. I have a Roccat Pyro that feels DRAMATICALLY greater then the K70. It is on sale at 49.99 at the time of this review. Over time I changed the keycaps to some hyperx pudding caps and I immediately put in back in place of the K70. I had a lapse in judgment and thankfully it was very brief. I have tried many keyboards over the years. In the end my Pyro still stands out as VERY easy to use, very fast to type on, and just overall simple. The software is super easy to use as well. Way too much hype over the K70.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I helped my friend to place an order of this item and I received it on May 24. I gave this item to my friend on May 26. He didn’t start using it until the very end of May and then one of the keys was broken today. He used it less than 2 weeks and unfortunately it’s refundable after June 8. The customer service just tried to persuade me to buy the 2 years plan if Greek. I. Any believe that’s the only resolution to the problem, which is to make me pay extra money for it. It’s the problem of product quality, not something else. I’m so disappointed on Best Buy. This never happened to me before. I always find Best Buy a good place to purchase electronic devices and had referred it to all my friends and family. And now, I started losing my faith on it.

Keyboard.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing wrong with the functionality of the keyboard. Just hated how the keys felt as it felt like super dry plastic with ridges.

Poor quality for price.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had used the original LUX Corsair K70 for multiple years, loving the wrist rest until I needed to replace it from general wear. After unboxing this, I was immediately dissatisfied with the comparison. The volume wheel feels very cheap, the key caps are double shot PBT but feel like cheap 3D printing filament with the rough edges. Watch a YouTube video for better options in this price range, or buy a cheaper keyboard that would match the quality of this board. Seems like Corsair sold out!

Unopened
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave it a five because it was delivered in its packaging nicely. I didn’t open it so I can’t speak on if it works well for me or not. But I also didn’t feel the need to rate it low either since I’ve never used it.

An amazing keyboard for the investment
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair K70 RGB Pro is Corsair's attempt at wooing both the amateur and professional gamer with equipment that is durable, capable, and has unique features geared towards in person tournaments. The combination of high customizability, programmability, and build quality make this a strong consideration for anyone looking for a mechanical gaming keyboard. The K70 RGB Pro’s box is rather unassuming. The normal Corsair yellow affair with an exhortation to ‘Press the Advantage” adoring the front edge. AXON branding tells you about it’s fast processing, and both the aluminum frame and PBT double shot keycaps are listed. Besides the wrist rest and cable, there isn’t much inside the box. The K70 is a relatively no frills keyboard. There are no screens, dedicated macro keys, or USB pass through ports. The detachable USB-C cord is a huge boon for travel and makes replacing it pretty easy. Pulling out the board from the box, its weighty aluminum frame is a stand out feature. It not only keeps the board stable on your desk, but allows the keyboard a very solid feel. There is an interesting resonation from the keyboard when typing. This ping is slightly annoying, but you might be able to put o-rings or something else to quiet it down. It’s really only obvious when you’re striking the keys harder, which if you choose the speed silver keys is not necessary at all. In fact, the speed silver keys actuation point is so high you can almost float your fingers over the keys. As a quick note - this keyboard can be bought with different keys, but the speed silvers are much like MX Red’s in that they are linear and 45cN resistance, but their actuation point is really really high. If you rest your fingers too heavily you’ll trigger a key press. For most this won’t be a problem though. Besides the mechanical tendencies, there are a lot of interesting features. Obviously the 8000Hz polling rate seems like an obvious call out, but whether or not that’s a real advantage is debatable (out of the box it’s configured with a 1000Hz polling rate) But what is interesting is the dedicated on board processor that makes it possible. There is a lot that can be programmed on the keyboard hardware, avoiding even needing iCue (Corsair’s excellent software) running. Both lighting and macros can be programmed on board and thus travel with the keyboard. There is 8MB of storage dedicated to holding programming and lighting, which is great. This is a really nice feature if you’re bringing your keyboard to another computer or potentially console. Need to disable these hardware features for a tournament? There’s a dedicated switch on the back that turns off everything but the basics. The magnetic wrist rest is nothing to write home about, but definitely is a nice touch. The K95’s inserts I prefer, but this rest is still comfortable. Besides the basics, there are dedicated media keys, an awesome volume rocker (with dedicated mute switch), a profile switcher (which seamlessly swaps profiles on iCue for all your devices), brightness switch, and gaming lock mode (which can disable the windows key, but also other keyboard shortcuts like alt+tab). The double shot PBT keycaps are an amazing touch. PBT is known to resist your standard wear and tear that create a smooth shiny surface on your lesser ABS plastics. The result is a durable and consistent feeling keycap. I’m very impressed by the quality, and I’m also impressed at Corsair ensuring that this keyboard’s layout is a standard layout and not the weird asymmetric control/win/alt found on many previous keyboards preventing customization of keycaps. Obviously someone at Corsair heard those complaints and made a standard bottom row. The lighting of course is the best in the business. Besides having direct integration with other Corsair products, the lighting itself is even, and high quality - due to the standard MX RGB switches. Per key backlight control, with more presets, patterns, and profiles than your imagination can handle. The font on the keycaps is quite legible and fairly non-gamery. How does it perform for gaming? Well, my standard affair of StarCraft 2 and CS:GO were good. The short travel required for the speed silver keys was apparent and I found myself striking less hard than with my MX Brown’s (my usual preferred key). The standard layout helped me find modifier keys faster and the PBT keycaps meant my fingers weren’t sticking to the keys. So at the price point, Corsair’s K70 RGB Pro offers quite a bit of features that improve over many of its previous offerings. Others may have screens, or features that might be less important to you - but Corsair’s keyboard offerings are the real deal. You get legit cherry switches, excellent software features, excellent hardware processing, a metal backplate, PBT keycaps, and a sweet volume rocker. What’s not to like? I can highly recommend this keyboard!

Don’t waste your money if you own a Mac
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Such as compatible with the Mac, while that may be true, as far as key input is concerned when you buy a keyboard like this, you expect the color customization to be relatively easy, or at least work, which it does not currently it is sitting on my desk unplugged and is a piece of junk as far as I’m concerned specially, compared to my razor, black widow pro4 keyboard, that is currently connected to my Alienware I have never tried this brand before, and I certainly will not again
