Some of the 8-pin connectors split in half to create a 4-pin connectors, while other 8-pin connectors split into 6-pin connectors.

Beyond simply increasing the power buffer for my computer, this new unit's modular build eliminated the obnoxious unused cords that infested my old pc. Paired with colored cable extenders (highly recommended for any pc build), this new power supply speaks for itself so far as robustness and practicality. To anyone looking to upgrade the power supply on their computer, I recommend two features that this power supply has which are a must have on any power supply: 1. Gold or Platinum certification. 2. Fully-modular cable units.
