It is very difficult to manipulate, you must buy a new set of cables instead of using the included one. It does not include a decent manual nor does it include the screws.

First unit DOA, Best Buy Exchange Saved the Day.

I had to drive an hour to the nearest Best Buy to get last replacement unit available in the State. Replacement unit works fine.

Thank you for your feedback. It is normal for the PSU to get "pretty warm". This PSU's 135mm magnetic levitation fan will keep the PSU's internals at optimal temperatures when under heavy load - otherwise, zero RPM fan mode keeps it off at low and medium loads for near-silent operation. Unlucky Failures?

Clearly QA/QC has suffered. Unlucky? Maybe but I cannot recommend a product that has me going back for replacements, Best Buy was great about swapping units they just happened to be all bad.

Bust Buy would not give me a return or exchange. Don't buy this, but maybe also don't buy anything from best buy at all unelss you just like burngin money for no reason. Their one and only advantage was the ability to easily return bad products, but now they don't have that either. High prices, poor selection, bad service, no returns - no business.

In regard to the fan, the RM1000x features Zero RPM Fan Mode, providing near-silent operation at low and medium loads. The fan will activate at higher power loads.

But the cables are so bad its almost funny. Corsair would do better to drop the price and tell me to get my own cables. You are going to anyway. TL;DR only buy if you have the budget for aftermarket cables.
