Look nice but underperform many headsets

Has semi loud, but very flat audio out of the box, it needs a lot of tweaking to sound like most headsets come stock. Really uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time though but build quality is so far unmatched, along with corsairs integrated RGB it’s a pretty package. Worth 200$? maybe not, but def worth a try if you’re trying to game in style and have a slightly smaller head shape. Overall I’d give the Corsair a shot if you’re not going to wear them for very long. But don’t expect 200$ in sound value, it’s mostly for the aesthetics of the headset.

Amazing When Working, Infuriating When They Don't

TL;DR: Don't buy them. Audio is great, wireless cuts out a LOT. I am going to keep this review as short and sweet as I can. I've had Corsair peripherals for years now. I upgraded a couple months ago to the Virtuoso, and even bought my Fiance a pair when her headset died recently. I am returning both, but felt it was necessary to write this review first. These are amazing headphones either when wired or they decide to actually work. Their sound does leave a bit to be desired, but overall, after playing with EQ, I'd say they sound amazing (got them a full star here). Everything falls apart when it comes to iCUE and their wireless dongle. My old VOID RGB wireless headset never had issues with connectivity. If it did, it was because the microwave was running, that's it. With this headset, even the slightest head tilt can cause them to lose audio for more than a couple seconds. I've followed all the support threads I can, from making sure the receiver is in a USB 2.0 port, to re-pairing the receiver and dongle a dozen times. I really got excited when I heard Corsair was introducing SlipStream, as I have a wireless mouse, keyboard, and the headset. SlipStream was their attempt to limit how many dongles were needed for all your Corsair devices, and when it was working for users, it was AMAZING. People were saying it resolved a lot of the problems similar to mine. Corsair even has a whole webpage talking about it (Google it). Turns out, it's been revoked since early 2020, and the last forum "update" from the head developer for SlipStream was back in 07/2020. I cannot in my sole discretion recommend this product unless Corsair either determines the wireless problems origin, or they figure out SlipStream as that appeared to be a possible solution for all the issues. It's very possible all the Corsair receivers I have is the actual problem, but that shouldn't cause a complete lack of use for the headset.

Sound quality is terrible ... Terrible bass, somewhat mids but still undesirable and the highs when playing any games or music are sibilant. All sounds just feel unnatural. You really have 3hrs of play time max for any fps before your ears become uncomfortable or over sensitive to the highs. There is literally no soundstage when using VVS. Imaging is ok with some directional ques but I've definitely experienced better for $200 There is nothing HiFi about this headset. In better news the mic the great tho

Good build quality, mic and packaging. Connections are a breeze. Unfortunately due to the non existing bass making them sound like 30 dollar paper drivers I will most likely return

I have bought the regular. The SE. The XT. I'm done sugar coating my thoughts on them. These are literally garbage. They look nice and are comfortable for an hour. I only bought them because they're metal. You must buy metal. These sound like earbuds that totally cover your ear. I have tweaked the equalizer, updated software. Tried old software. Tried external equalizing and DACs. Other software entirely. I've tried them wired through USB C I've tried them through 3.5mm headphone jack. Every. Model. Is trash. Any one who enjoys these, it has to be their first time using headphones. I absolutely cannot believe any of these products are more than $50. Unbelievable. The software is fine. Tuned them for HOURS and they sound like a drive thru speaker at best. I can't comprehend this. The only headsets I've used that are reasonably priced are HyperX and I have used my first pair of Cloud 2 wired for 7 years. I have used my Cloud Alpha S for years now and my original Cloud 2 still works. I just wanted a refresh. Maybe try something else but DO NOT BUY THESE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I wanted to love them so many times.

There is a glitch where the headset doesn't connect back to the dongle, or your Bluetooth. On the previous there was a reset button you could hit with a paper clip. however with these there isnt, so if you will buy them, get something like an insurance where you can replace them as much as you'd like.

    A Lie

Not a true 7.1 surround headset. The information is EXTREMELY misleading to out right deceptive in its description of its capabilities. While I do like that you can switch between wired and wireless, this does not matter if it does not do what it says it's capabilities are supposed to be.

    Poor sound and build quality

They look cool… the quality ends there. They crack and crinkle at every movement they fit pretty bad in my opinion but I do have a smaller head so I won’t put that one against them. Even still they feel bad and are in comfy but at least they’re light. The sound on these things is poor quality. Idk who thinks these sound good but please go buy the HP omen mindframe for $80 and you will be astonished at the sound quality and comfort they have. They look pretty cool and cool your ears so you will feel so good while you play.

    Bad Mic, Good Headphones

I love the sound that comes out of these but the microphone is the worst. It picks up every little sound that happens around me or from me. It is so sensitive it heard my dog walking on the floor and a car passing across the street. If you want good headphones, I recommend these. If you want good gaming headphones, unless you have an external microphone, do not touch these.

    A good attempt but lacking

The headset is good, as others have pointed out the earmuffs are a little small but luckily I have a smaller head so they are fine for me. The thing that really bothers me is the cut-out from the dongle and sometimes when it is plugged in. It usually lasts like 3 to 5 seconds and then comes back in but for playing MOAB games this sucks. Also, the sound system with the bass boost eq setting will drop down the audio to try and get you to notice the bass better, and I'm not a huge fan of that. So I tend to leave them on Dolby atmos so the EQs cannot take effect.
