Worst headset ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I've had this headset almost a month, and let me tell how frustrating it is that all audio cuts out for 2-5 seconds a clip, about every 10 seconds. Wired works a bit better, but I didn't buy a wireless headset to use it wired. It's a bad product on Corsair's part, honestly one of the worst headsets I've ever used in my life.

Needs better spatial sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Love this headset as my primary headset for gaming but the spatial audio isnt the greatest in my opinion. There were times i was playing siege and had to guess if the sound was coming from above or down. Its kind of annoying because with my playstation headset i can hear a pen fall and know if its above or down

Posted .Hi,
I suggest making sure your game's audio settings are set to "Headphones", as many games are configured by speakers by default. You may also use our preset EQ profiles in iCUE, or create a fully custom one that tailors to your ears. If you have any additional questions, we'd be happy to assist: help.corsair.com

Meh tier product at a premium
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones are pretty comfortable and built well in terms of durability.. However the stack/default eq for the headset is the worst I've ever heard. Headset sounds awful with no eq and becomes barely acceptable with tuning. Battery life: battery life is good no real complaints it can run a full 15hrs reliably. Build: build quality is great don't really have to worry about breaking them Audio quality: bad.. you have to use eq tuning for them to sound okay. Listening to music and videos is decent but game audio leaves much to be desired and is awful if you need footstep sounds. Also as the headset has aged its Bluetooth ranges has gone from kinda bad to pathetic. If I walk into another room it constantly cuts in and out when it used to only do it once in awhile when further away. The mic is great but that really only helps others not me Wish Iiked the headset more but it's just very mid and for the premium they want for it I don't feel it's worth buying new.

Don’t waste your money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very cheaply made, if you really want to waste money for the looks and not the sound quality, be my guest. mines came in the package smushed leaving the ear cups with wrinkles. The sound quality is horrible in my opinion if your looking for something that can hear footsteps or surround sound. The mic is trash, Corsairs HS lineups sounds better. Overall you get a fancy cheap quality mic with garbage and cheap drivers.

Great headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came from a corsair Void pro RGB and thought the headphones weren't deep enough for it to be comfortable based on some of the reviews. To my surprise, it was pretty comfortable except the headband, but I got used to it. I have a big head and my ear pop out a little, so most headphones aren't comfortable for me.

Poorly made
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give this headset a no star I Would’ve done it because this headset does not work in wireless mode it works for about 5 min then you hear a loud screech and makes a pop sound it works decent with a cable but works like crap in wireless not to mention it’s very uncomfortable after 15min on the ears since they’re to close

perfection
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in love with this headset! Finally someone made a headset that doesn't look childish! The over all feel of this headset screams premium quality. It has some good weight to it but doesn't feel heavy when you're wearing it. It is quite comfortable to wear for hours on end. This headset is very well built and sturdy. It doesn't feel cheap and the over all look is very sleek. Controls are simple. Sound quality- Slightly less than I was expecting but still great sound quality. I would have liked some more powerful bass but the over all sound is awesome. I do like that it can be wireless or wired (which I prefer) and that it can be used for computer gaming, playstation or just as a set of headphones for music. Its more versatile than I had expected. Battery life is adequate, but I prefer wired use. The microphone works as good as any other premium headset. I like that it is detachable. It has different colors to let you know if its on or muted. Nice feature but I could personally do without. I use headphones more for listening than chatting with other players.

Good

Not very comfortable, sound okay
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.they look very nice and the software is great. They really aren't that comfortable. They aren't deep enough to not touch your ears and i couldn't wear them for longer than an hour without headaches. They sound overall okay. They dont sound very clear and it sounds very mid and bass heavy. The eq settings help a little bit still not worth it. I would recommend getting a pair of Astro A40s or A50s for the price.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.really good product. at first wasnt super happy about comfort but it didnt affect me the way i thought it would. also the 3d sound on these things are so ridic. even compared to my astros these have better 3d sound (the pinpointing of specific sound in accordance with their true location)

Sound great and comfortable enough to wear all day
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Virtuoso headphones with their 50mm drivers sound great. You can use one of three methods to connect to your device. The included Slipstream USB wireless transmitter, USB cable (1.8m) and a 3.5mm stereo cable (1.5m). The USB cable supports the highest quality audio, provided you have a high-quality source. The included cables are premium with nice plugs and braided cords. The Slipstream USB dongle is large compared to ones I have from Logitech and Plantronics. The status light on the Slipstream is a nice touch. Nice headset build quality. The adjustable headband with numbered index marks and the ear cup swivels are machined aluminum instead of plastic. The headset feels solid but not too heavy. The ear cups have memory foam and there is a thick cushion along the entire headband, not just in the very center. The omnidirectional microphone boom is removeable. This is handy when I’m watching movies or videos instead of gaming. There is a mute button on the microphone and a LED on the mic shows the status. You can use the iCUE software to disable the LED when the mic is active, if you find it distracting. I’m impressed with the battery life. I use the headset all day on a single charge. If the battery gets low, the headset can still be used while charging via USB. You can set the iCUE software to display the battery status in the taskbar. Smart sleep and wake feature use an internal accelerometer to shut off the headset when you put it down and powers up when you put them on again. You can set the number of minutes before the headset sleeps or disable the sleep feature using the iCUE software. These are very comfortable, and I can wear them all day. I need a break from most headphone/headsets after a few hours once the top of my head begins to hurt from the headband. The headband on this headset has good padding along the entire headband instead of just in the very center. The padding on the ear cups is thick so in addition to being comfortable, the ear cups offer some passive noise cancelling. The headset has one driver on the left and one driver on the right. Stereo. You can’t have real 7.1 surround with only two speakers. What you hear in surround sound mode headset/headphones is heavily processed Stereo or virtual surround. That said, they still sound great. I really like Corsair’s iCUE software. I set up different profiles for each game and several apps. It is great linking profiles to programs, so everything switches when I switch apps. I set a profile for Kodi that uses the movie theater EQ preset and enables the 7.1 surround. The light reflecting off the couch from the headset can be distracting so I used the Lighting Effects to dim the light way down. I turned the light off at first, but a dim light might keep me from sitting on the headphones. It is nice having so much control, now I want more RGB devices. I’ve had my eye on corsair gaming mice and keyboards and now I know I like iCUE much more than Logitech’s buggy G HUB software. The Virtuoso headset does work on Mac OS (Mojave), but you wouldn’t want to buy this headset for that purpose. Think of it as a bonus if you also have a mac in the house. If you use the slipstream wireless or USB connections, Mac OS will recognize the headset microphone and speakers automatically. Using the volume control on the headset will adjust the volume on the Mac. You cannot run iCUE software though, so you won’t have 7.1 surround sound, voice prompts, lighting effects and EQ presets. Still, they sound great and are so comfortable I also use them with our Mac.

Excellent headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very comfortable for my huge head. The clamping pressure is much prefarbly compared to the Logitech X Pros. The RGB isnt over the top at all. The price point is excellent and I would buy again.

Comfort Kills This Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, let me acknowledge the fact that this product is nearly perfect in two areas for a wireless headset. -Aesthetics (It looks awesome and clean) -Build Quality (It is built to last with no flimsy areas) -Microphone Quality (This is the best Wireless headset Microphone) And it's okay in Sound Quality (It's passable but definitely not the best) The Killer is the absolute garbage comfort - The top headband is basically a knife, and it leaves your head in pain after 20 minutes - The actual headphone cushions are made with pleather that gets hot and leaving your ears wet after any session - The headphone cushions are not well padded, this results in your ears rubbing against the drivers which are so uncomfortable. Also, they are made and a flexible cushion that wraps around your ears to create a real seal which leaves audio bleeding out of the headset.

Don’t buy for Xbox.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy says it’s compatible for Xbox when I typed wireless headset for Xbox in the search bar. Well it isn’t fully compatible. If you’re in a party with friends there will be a bad echo. They have to be wired into the controller too. You can’t do wireless.
