I ended up returning the Razer Blackshark v2 Pro's for the Virtuoso SE and glad I switched. These sound a lot better despite the complaints about Corsairs iCuE software. These have real clean sounding bass that the Blackshark does not have, no matter how you try to configure razer synapse. For PC gaming and music these are outstanding sound. I uploaded a screen shot of my settings for music. For gaming, the surround sound is pretty awesome in Cold War. I find the FPS competition setting is great for accurate footsteps. The microphone is top notch, and the side tone sounds crisp. I even use these for work 8 hours a day and then another few hours of gaming in the evening. I stopped looking for headphones, thanks Corsair!

The Corsair Virtuoso RGB SE Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound Headset is the best headset I owned. It's built very solid, has a nice look to it and the sound is incredibly crystal clear for music and gaming. The microphone is broadcast quality and everyone can hear me clearly through it. Best feature is the Slipstream! Multiple devices setup to one dongle! Defiantly recommend this for anyone looking for a nice headset and wants to splurge for themselves. You won't regret it!

No doubt about it, the build quality of these are superb. There were moments where I've accidently dropped them over the years and not one time did they show signs of wanting to break. The only build issue I've ever came across were the ear muff's glue wearing down and losing it's adhesive properties. Thankfully, Corsair's design allowed me to easily remove the old ear muff's bracket with a simple twist, and install a new aftermarket pair of a much better muffs that offer more comfort, and zero sweat. Which gave me 0 issues for the rest of this headset's life. Sound. It is subjective, but in my experience coming from Logitech after grabbing these, noise was okay, nothing to write home about as I expected more of a punchy bass yet was only met with, what I felt, muddy audio. No worries however! If your focus is more on competitive gameplay, these definitely get the job done with footsteps. Corsair's iCue software is available for tuning frequencies to your heart's content! The software, sure had some user-friendly issues in the past. However over the years as they've updated it, it became much more bearable to use and tweak along with my other corsair products. With my use-case however, I just tuned it to have an alright, all-around profile with bass and treble, and left it alone after that. Connectivity. Corsair's USB slipstream dongle (at least newer models as of writing this review) is capable of connecting multiple wireless corsair product with just one dongle. a great feature if you're rocking other Corsair brand wireless devices. There will be connectivity issues if you walk away and come back after stepping out of range (which can very, depending on your PC placement, and how many walls the signal needs to fight with). My solution however remained consistent and simple, yet a little inconvenient, but does not sway my opinion on these otherwise. A simple unplug and plug back in always got them working again. Comfort. These things are subjective, but fit a wide range of users. The ear muffs are something to definitely replace within the first 3 months as they can wear down quickly in hotter climates. The headband on top of your head is flexible, the headphones themselves are adjustable and can swivel. Using these in bed (if you fall asleep to a movie or watching videos) can be cumbersome if on your sides. They've got some weight to them which helps build the sense of durability, so use of these for kids are unlikely an ideal circumstance. Durability. As mentioned prior, I've definitely put these in the wrong places from time to time, as a clumsy user myself, I accidently sat on them and dropped them (however usually on carpet or padded surfaces) where they've experience unusual high tension. These things never gave way. The material used are very durable, especially headband, which is a contact point to experience lots of friction over long durations of gameplay. They've shown signs of wear in my instance, but majority of it is still together. The volume slider (at least on mine) has gone out. It still works, however it's very sporadic and random if I want to raise or lower the volume, something I experienced in the past with other headsets, however it doesn't change the volume on its own if I'm moving too much or jamming out. The reason I'm having to retire these, is because one of the speakers (left) has blown out, still playing audio but at a very low level. They do experience high volume at times, but majority on a comfortable, mellow volume. Battery life. In my experience, I've had consistent results as I used them over the years. Where I noticed that I've been on my PC for awhile, I'd usually predict when my headset's battery life is low before receiving a heads-up from corsair's virtual assistant. For the average user that has a 9-5, from full charge to depleted, could last up to 2-3 days before needing to charge. The RGB does play a big impact in battery life, so I usually have it turned off. I'd recommend these to anyone that is looking for longevity, simplicity, and durability. Every wireless headset will always have their issues. The Virtuoso was by far, my longest lasting headset that stood the test of time of life expectancy. Connectivity issues is common among all headsets, but by far the easiest to fix should you come across any. Sound for me was growing dull, wanting more punchy bass out of them. If I'm not happy with other headsets, I will definitely come back and grab a fresh new pair, or a newer model!

This was a really good quality headset, but I had to return it because I have larger-than-average ears and it started to irritate and hurt my ears because the ear pieces were too small/compact. If the small size doesn't bother your ears, the microphone and audio quality is GREAT.

I haven’t owned the headset for a year and the ear cushions have fallen off due to the cheap plastic lock rings breaking. Corsair made them to be removable, but with occasional adjustment of the headset, the plastic snap locks ended up snapping themselves. I had a Razer headset prior that I have owned for 2 years and I still have them. Going to use those while I work to get my money back on these. Another issue with the headset is the terrible battery life after the period of time that I’ve had it. It won’t even last me 3 hours before telling me that the battery is low.

The Corsair Virtuoso is a great all-around headset. Sound quality is pretty great, but not as heavy on the bass as many would like. I was a little surprised considering my experience with gaming headsets, they tend to err on the side of being overly bass heavy. Still I really like the sound profile on these and you can make them sound even better. More on that in a minute. Build Quality - These are some seriously well-buit headphones. When you pull them out of the box the first thing you notice is the weight, they're heavy, almost too heavy, certainly heavier than any other gaming headset I've used. Fortunately the earcups and headrest are covered with a soft thick foam. The foam conforms nicely to your head, ears, and face but it took me a full 10 minutes or so before they really settled. After that they were very comfortable, very easy to wear for hours at a time. Performance - Sound performance is very good as an all-around headset but may be a little lacking in bass for some people. You can customize your EQ to remedy that, more on that later, or crank the volume, but the Virtuoso simply doesn't thump the way I'd expect a gaming headset in this price range. The bass is very crisp and accurate, but again it might not be what you're looking for. The highs and mids are very clear without seeming overpowering. Overall I really like the sound profile on these. They seem better tuned for voice chat, playing games, and watching media. Music still sounds great but yeah, not for the bassheads. Connections - The virtuoso charges via usb type-C (included in the box) which is a huge win for me. All my devices use usb-c so I only have to keep one cable around for all of my needs. Simple. The mic plugs in via keyed usb port on the left ear cup which also houses the charging/pc connect cable. The right cup houses your 3.5mm connection, volume up and down, and on/off toggle. Connecting via usb C will not only charge your headset, but also allow you to update firmware settings. Oh and you also get full 24bit 96khz audio over direct connection. So yeah, that bass issue? Not an issue. I'm currently listening to some lossless music over usb and it sounds incredible. It's a shame you can't get this same quality on wireless but, it is what it is. Overall I like the variety of connections you have available, having options is nice. The Mic - the mic is easily the best feature of these headphones. The virtuoso has the best on-set mic I've ever used. I did a side by side test in audacity, recording the same dialogue and the virtuoso blew away my other 3 headsets hands down. Voice is rich and full and accurate. It's not "broadcast quality" as corsair claims, but it's very very good. Love the mic, perfect for long video conference sessions or long gaming sessions. RGB - There are 2 large corsair logos on either earcup which light up. The RGB logo looks nice, very bright and clear, but yeah it's a little silly. Still I find myself liking it. You can customize the colors to your heart's content in the iCUE software. Speaking of ... Software - A lot of products live and die by their software and the virtuoso is no different. the iCUE software is pretty easy to use but, full disclosure, it's been on my system for years as I use other corsair products. You can customize lighting effects, your EQ settings and a bunch of other stuff. This is also where you update your device firmware. Cons?? - The first one is the placement for the charging cable. If you're charging your headphones and using them at the same time, or you just want that higher quality audio, this is a major annoyance. The cable juts out of the left earcup at an awkward angle that pushes it directly into my shoulder. It feels like the cable is constantly being tugged on, and is it rubs up against you sound gets transmitted from the cable to the earcup. It's just bad placement. I wish they'd moved this over to the right earcup, but whatever. That's it for me really. I'm in love with everything else. There's a little section in the software that allows you to hear outside sounds which I completely love. I know we all like to escape and be isolated from time to time, but it's great to be able to know if my dog is getting up to mischief or some delivery driver is knocking quietly at my door. There are a lot of cool little features buried in the software so definitely spend your time getting acquainted with it. Overall the Virtuoso is the perfect headset for most people. The bass is noticeably weaker over wireless, but unless you're diehard basshead I wouldn't let that stop you from buying one of the best headsets on the market. It has nearly perfect sound with the best on-set mic you'll find.

This set of headphones is remarkable. They are lightweight, in my opinion, and at around $180, they are budget-friendly in comparison to other wireless gaming headphones in the market. When I started using them I actually used them with my iPhone. I connected to my iPhone using a Lighting to Stereo cable and I was really impressed with how basic music sounded through them. This was a good test for me of both sound quality and comfort. I was working on a project and used the headphones for approximately 3 hours straight. I also use the headphones for gaming on my PC. The version I have is meant for use with PCs and the Playstation 4. I actually don’t have a PS4, but I do have a couple of PC laptops that I was able to use the headphones with. I played through several rounds of Call of Duty and was able to hear all of the game audio clearly. The headphones, which are built incredibly well, have a nice, thick foam around the ear cups and the headband. This makes the headphones very easy to wear for long periods of time. While I enjoyed the sound quality of the headphones, I would say that they are lacking in heavy bass, there is a nice balance between the highs and lows. The microphone provides high-quality audio and while it’s not ‘broadcast’ quality. It is very good. I’ve used it for both video conferences and gaming sessions and the people on the other ends of the conversations have said they could hear me with no issues. I like that the headphones feature RGB LEDs on the earpieces. It adds a bit of style to them. It’s one of the features that you can customize using the iCue software. Using the iCue system, you can also customize your EQ settings and update device firmware. The headphones charge with USB-C and can connect wirelessly via a USB dongle. Corsair also includes a 3.5mm stereo aux cable, which ensures you get 24-bit 96khz audio through a direct wired connection. I like that there is a variety of connections, but wish that I could also connect to them using a standard Bluetooth connection without having to use the dongle. I have no problem recommending these to other users. I think they are a high-quality set of headphones with a variety of uses.

I bought these because of reviews I have seen and they were white. These are $40 cheaper than the se version with the only difference being the plastic the part the corsair logo is on the earpiece. The microphone as seen in reviews is better than the se version also. I have no problem distinguishing footsteps and directional audio in games and the quality gets even better when you use it wired. I am extremely happy with my purchase and save yourself $40 & get the white version you won't be disappointed

This headset offers phenomenal sound quality in both stereo and surround sound. The batter life is great, software is easy to use and configure, everything looks and feels premium! The various connectivity options are a huge plus as well! The only thing lacking is Bluetooth to use them with a phone for mobile games or music but, they fully support audio through USB, including using a USB-C to USB-C cable AND using a USB-C to A adapter and the wireless dongle to connect to my Galaxy Note 10+ that has no headphone jack! The last one was quite surprising to me, it is definitely a clunkier work around but the sound was still crystal clear! Operating through a 3.5 mm or wired USB connection offers an even cleaner audio experience and absolutely zero lag, prefect for fast paced FPS gaming. The microphone has an LED that turn red or green depending on if it is muted, this was most handy during online multiplayer FPS games after I was swiftly eliminated and did not want to have my words broadcast for the whole match to hear. Most features can be toggled through the very easy to use iCUE program that also hosts the RGB color settings. The fit and style of this headset is something that is subtle enough to wear around when not gaming, especially with the detachable microphone and LEDs that you can turn off, but also so comfortable that once you have them set to fit your head, you'll forget they are even there! I would highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for excellent sound, build quality, comfort, and a headset that you can wear out of the house that doesn't immediately scream "gamer" unless you want it to! Games these excelled in were open world RPGs and multiplayer FPS as the surround sound gives you an extra advantage to hear the action around you.

The Corsair Virtuoso RBG wireless headphones in white look absolutely fantastic and very high-end. I have shown them to my friends, and they are very jealous of the looks of these things and I must keep them locked away when they come over (kidding), but in all honesty they are really impressed with the looks. Just about every aspect of these headphones screams premium build quality and they feel very durable and comfortable on my head. I wear glasses and I really prefer a light headset for comfort, and this meets both of those top requirements for me. The headphones have just 11 different adjustment settings per side and I was easily able to find the perfect setting for my head. The amount of tension is just perfect as well and as I mentioned earlier, even with my glasses on I had no issues. The icue software is a hefty download at just over 350 MB and the install requires 980 MB. This will allow you to customize the sound more and there are some presets that you can use as well. You can also adjust the lighting effects of the headphone. Color and different pluses and modes are what you can choose from. I was looking for a way to disable the microphone LED since I find it a bit distracting while playing games, but I was not able to find a way to do that. Fortunately, you can remove the microphone and that solves my problem, unless I want to voice chat which I rarely do. There is a feature to toggle between stereo sound and 7.1 surround sound, both of which sound good. If you don’t want to use the software you can just plug in the USB dongle into your PC, PS4, or Xbox and it will just work. Overall, I am very impressed with these and they are a bit on the expensive side, but they are not the most expensive on the market and I find them to be a great value. Pros: Fit Sound Adjustments Great with eyeglasses Cons: A little pricey Microphone LED Software download and install size
