Immersive and Enjoyable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, the sound quality of the Corsair Virtuoso RGB alone is worth the price. Although I have experienced a slightly deeper base with other similar gaming headsets, the overall sound quality of this model more than makes up for that. Base is not everything when it comes to enjoying good audio and overall gaming experience. Please note that my comments are just for comparison because the base is not bad at all and the whole audio quality sounded even better when connected to USB. In a gaming headset, immersion is just as important as the audio quality and they delivered that very well in the 3 games I tried: two on a gaming PC and another on a PS4. I am glad that Corsair took into consideration the whole experience, not just one feature. The mic also proved to be excellent in all the games I tried. Comfort is another feature I look for on headsets, especially when playing games for hours and these felt as good I had hoped for. They also seem to get even more comfortable after a couple of days but this is common with most good headsets. I just wish there was a little more padding on the top. As I mentioned before, they sound even better when wired but wireless is good too and I do prefer to be wire free when playing games. Also, you can tweak the software to improve overall audio quality to your taste. They have an overall premium look and feel. I was not too impressed with the RGB feature but was not disappointed either. I just prefer that type of feature on mice, keyboards and other things that are not on my head. Battery life is great. Totally worth it!
