    Great Sound, Poor Fit

Given the choice I would return this product. I do not use these for gaming. I use them for online conversation using corporate communication. While the sound is good (not the "best") the fit is very poor. The bottoms of the ear cups do not seal. Rather, they hang out away from my jaw. Not sealing reduces the sound quality and makes the headset uncomfortable.

Tinny sound, trash microphone, keep scrolling

I bought this to replace a well loved Turtle Beach setup, and I regret it. After charging the system overnight, and having my OS hijacked by the Corsair dashboard, I finally got a chance to try it. The audio quality is sub-par, and very loud. Out of the box the thing is will blow your eardrums out so be cautious if you ignore my 1 star review. Turning it down to about 30% makes it listenable if you have normal hearing. The audio also sounds tinny, meaning that even with the bass turned way up it has a sort of "old timey" radio quality. Great if you're listening to "Fibber McGee and Molly", not so great if you've been alive any time after 1975. But I could live with this, if it were a $25 headset. But the microphone is where I re-boxed it and will be bringing it back. Even with the sliders at max, it barely registers any sound. Even when I put my hand under it and SCREAM it gets one bar. You can do some tricks to "hear" your own voice through the headset, and when little I could hear was also tinny. It sounded like someone had used a microphone from a Bluetooth phone earpiece, hastily soldered it into the slick housing, called it a day. For livestreaming, using a team chat, or even just using a VOIP service, this is purely unacceptable. For reference, my old Windows 95 stick mic works better than the Corsair mic, and that's just not right. I expected so much more from a company that prides itself on being a "leading source for gaming hardware". So, bottom line. If you've read this far, just put the box down and get another product. This one is a waste of money. Don't bother with it.

husband just bought these for me for my birthday, and I did what anybody would do rushed them home and plugged them into my pc. It is a true night and day difference on the quality of sound from my turtle beach headset. They pick up the little nuances in the environment in my mmos like no other headset that I have found.

I absolutely love this headset. I’ve had it for 3 years now and the only problem I’ve had with it is the microphone doesn’t stay up in the mute position by itself anymore. Otherwise it’s great.

Good headset but doesn't fit small heads

I love Corsair since my build has mostly Corsair products, ie K68 keyboard, Glaive mouse, Polaris mouse pad, headset stand, RAM, PSU, AIO cooler, and the 7 RGB case fans. I wanted to complete the look with this headset but sadly that just won't be the case. This headset doesn't fit small heads and it's not even all that comfortable since it doesn't fit properly. I had high hopes for it since wireless technology has gotten much better the past few years. Guess it's back to my Cloud II until I can find a new one. I'd say test it out in a store before purchasing so as to not waste money.

    Terrible, heavy, garbage

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I didn't even get to the point where I could use these honestly. I took them out of the box and put them on and they were so heavy and loose they kept falling off my head. They also don't totally cover your ears so these are useless cheap junk. I bought these at the recommendation of a friend and I near cursed them out for suggesting such a terrible cheap piece of junk. Maybe the sound quality is good I honestly don't know because I was so disappointed the second I put them on they went right back in the box. Also the USB receiver is ridiculously large for no reason at all and I'm using on a laptop so there was no point in hearing them because there was no way I was going to keep them. No sound quality can make up for the cheap heavy construction which doesn't even grip your head tight enough to stay on.

      Hi,

I'm afraid not all head shapes and sizes would be compatible with the headset so I apologize for this not being the correct fit for you. We hope to have a compatible product for you in the future, and you could always give the HS70 a try!

Pretty Bad for a Gaming Headset

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The sound quality of this headset was pretty much perfectly fine until I started trying to play games on my computer and watch videos. Even the surround sound is garbage (just sounded like the headset was adding annoying echo effects). I tried messing with the EQ and using other people's recommended settings but nothing changed for the better. Funny enough, music sounds amazing with this but when you start hearing people talk via videos or through voice chat...YIKES. I had wired headphones connected to the sound card in my computer before this so that might be why I'm more accustomed to a better quality sound. I figured I'd give wireless a go but it turns out it's better to stick with a good sound card with a wired headset instead.

    Garbage

The void wireless headset is Garbage. They sound good when they work, the problem is that they do not work well. First issue installed icue and the headset would not work at all. Had to un install icue for them to work. Second issue they will not stay connected. Tried all of corsairs recommended supposed fixes to no avail. These will be returned tonight. The whole not staying connected thing negates any positive things I have to say about this headset.

this is my 3rd void headset first one lasted about a year the 2nd one about 8 months ( the battery would not stay charged) now this one lasted 5 hr ,got it home charged it up to 100% and it worked great for 2 hrs. turned off the comp for some time , turned it back on. the headset would not power on, so I tried to charge it but no charge indicator it just died , I like corsair, I use there ram power supply keyboard dark core mouse but this is bad. I may try one more if it works great if it dies I will just move on to a different brand.

    Terrible product

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased these headphones about a month ago and I have only be able to successfully use them once, the first time I plugged them in. After that they appeared to have stopped working and after troubleshooting the problem it was found they go into boot loader mode if you are pressing any of the function buttons while plugging the headset into charge. After about an hour I was able to find a solution to turning them on and updating them. The next time I went to use them they will connect to the computer but will not produce any sound at all. None from turning the mic off or on or from the power. They then stopped connecting to the dongle at all. Updating does not fix them, updating any drivers does not fix them they will not do anything on any item we plug them into. I do not recommend these to anyone. I can not tell if this particular pair may have just been faulty but according to the Corsair forums this seems to be a very particular issue with this set
