      Hi,

You'd have to enable the 7.1 sound within iCue or Windows.

    Great sound... while it lasts

Bought a pair of these a while ago, but after only a couple weeks I started experiencing pretty severe audio crackle and the battery stopped charging almost completely. Returned them for a second pair and found out that's not an uncommon problem. Second pair lasted about 6 months and again started getting some severe audio crackling. Battery life seems fine, however the iCue doesn't properly report charge levels, usually fixed by plugging them in and unplugging them a couple times. This also seems to be a common problem going by the Corsair support page. There has also been a fairly consistent problem actually syncing with the USB dongle when they power on. Sometimes it's instant others it can take almost a full minute. Again, seems to be a pretty common issue on the Corsiar support page. Issues aside they're very comfortable, even for extended periods of time. Sound quality is great when it's actually working, but turns to crap with no apparent cause. Sometimes it's loud noises, sometimes it's quiet noises, sometimes it's speech. There's no telling what will set it off. Tried moving the USB dongle to multiple ports JIC but the problem was persistent. I can't say I'd recommend these, at least not at full price. If you find them on sale for $50-60 go for it, otherwise kick in the extra few bucks for a higher quality set, or go for a different brand in the same price range.

    Input volume

I found that the audio quality was fantastic and the mic/controls were very intuitive, but what sorta bothered me is that my teammates all said my mic was too quiet, despite turning up my input volume, AND them turning up my volume on discord, this could always be user error, overall, an amazing product.

    9 month overview

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I use my headset everyday for the past 9 months. After 6 months the sound started going out in one ear. I fixed this by wedging a piece of paper in the volume dial so that it may work properly again. After 8 months the sounds started becoming softer and now on ear works when it feels like it. I thought the headset was great overall but would have wanted them to last longer.

    Overall Test and Feel

Testing these were fun, the overall feel quality was good but when it came to sound and control it has the icue software but for better tunning it needs 3rd party apps and even then, the surround sounds muffled.

For $60 this is a terrible headset.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Granted this headset plays sound and captures through the microphone, it is made of cheap plastic and the sound quality is very sub par. You could do better with a $20 turtle beach that comes with separate volume and mic adjusters so you can also hear yourself speak. That feature is not on this headset so you basically talk and don’t hear yourself at all which is very uncomfortable. Buy this if you like wasting extra money for no reason.

    Impressive.... then not

I've had this headset for 1 .5 years now, it worked very well for the first couple of months, and now I'm having audio issues (audio randomly spikes up or down in games), or the headset itself starts lagging with its onboard system. Not sure if this the fault of the headset or the software in Icue, but this is ridiculous

This headset is horrible. The mic volume is so low that its not usable. Tried searching for a fix and and everything I tried did not work. It seems the issue has been happening for years and corsair has not fixed it. I will be returning this tomorrow and never buying a product from them again.
