The CORSAIR - VOID V2 Max Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox, PC, Playstation, and Mobile – Carbon is a plug and play midrange value headset that is extremely comfortable and produces fantastic sound quality. It’s super lightweight with large soft cushions made from memory foam and breathable microfiber fabric. The weight is barely 300grams and the plush fabric-covered ear cushions and thick padded headband create a very comfortable gaming session. The snug and plush earcups that have replaceable mesh-covered foam earpads can rotate angles up to 90 degrees. There are two RGB strips down the front side of each earpiece to display a variety of RGB options such as lights flickering between a range of different colors. The controls are on the left earcup. From there I have connection ports, the power button that can switch between the 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connections and a textured multi-function button below it. The multifunction button can answer/hang up phone calls, play/pause music, skip a track, go back one track and enter Bluetooth pairing mode. A volume rocker, which can also be pressed to access the headset's onboard EQ presets is also there. There are 4 EQ presets to choose from, though the standard EQ setting is surprisingly flat. I can install the iCUE software to get the most out of the Void Wireless V2, with a 10-band EQ, except that is only available for PC and Mac. Of course with the VOID V2 50mm drivers I have plenty of sound coming out powerfully. It produces a balanced sound profile, with deep but slightly restrained bass, a solid midrange, and clear, comfortable highs. Connections come via both Bluetooth and a sizeable 2.4Ghz USB-A wireless dongle. The VOID V2 includes an omnidirectional microphone arm that automatically mutes when flipped up and turns on when angled down. This non-detachable boom mic is above-average in microphone quality. It is great for chatting with friends and teammates and it performs exceptionally well, with the amount of depth it manages to capture. Charging is via a USB-C port, with its included 1.8m charging cable giving a maximum of 65 hours of playtime. The CORSAIR - VOID V2 Max Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox, PC, Playstation, and Mobile – Carbon is a very versatile headset. As the latest CORSAIR on the market, at a great price, this VOID V2 has not disappointed my gaming experiences.

I got this Corsair Void V2 headset with my husband in mind. He primarily plays games on his Xbox, but occasionally plays on a PC too. I always hear him mention his every day headset is dying, so I thought this headset seemed like a well-rounded, affordable option for him to have as a second pair. Overall, this headset is very comfortable and adjustable to fit just right on his head. It holds quality sound and has a crisp and clean microphone. The battery life seems great too. He hasn't had to charge it with a couple hours of use each day over a weeks time. It's also extremely durable as our cat has already knocked it off his desk quite a few times on tile flooring! Aside from that, it was easy for him to connect to his Xbox and begin using. He had to do some quick firmware updating right out of the box but it was quick and painless and he gave them a full charge before first use. He likes being able to walk two floors away and still being able to talk to his friends and not have any connection issues. And he loves the customizing you can do with the RGB lighting and even with the audio. This headset is definitely is new primary. You can't be the price and quality!

TL;DR – The Corsair Void V2 Max for Xbox is a solid wireless headset. Solid audio quality, solid build quality, and (for the Windows and macOS crowd) integration with the Corsair iCUE ecosystem makes it a great choice for those of you who already have peripherals or computer parts from Corsair, SCUF, or El Gato. It’s easy to set up and use, the lighting on the side isn’t extremely annoying like on some headsets, and did I mention the audio quality is pretty terrific? The only real downside here is that it’s yet another wireless adapter for yet another Corsair product if you’re already multiple devices deep in the ecosystem. Unboxing and first impressions: The packaging is both classy and eco-friendly. Inside the box, you’ll find a USB-A to USB-C charge cable, the wireless adapter, instruction and warranty literature, and the headset itself wrapped in cloth. The headset’s build quality is pretty impeccable. I’m not sure if the brackets holding the ear cups are metal or plastic, but they feel very solid. All the other plastics in this headset feel very high quality compared to other headsets I’ve used in the past. Of course, though, the cable and dongle are exactly what you expect in a Corsair headset box, though the cable was shorter this time. Setup: For the Xbox, it’s pretty much plug in and go. Double-tap the power button and you’re in Xbox mode. Everything takes care of itself for audio, including automatic pairing. On Windows and Mac, if you don’t already have iCUE installed, you’ll need that. If you do have iCUE installed, you’ll likely need to restart your computer after connecting both the wireless dongle and the headset because of iCUE updates and drivers. Pairing with the wireless dongle is automatic. This headset also supports Bluetooth connectivity for mobile devices. Press the button next to the power button on the left ear cup and you enter Bluetooth pairing mode. It connects nearly instantly to whatever mobile device you have. Also, a nice surprise for the multiple platform people – The Void V2 Max for Xbox supports PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Again, plug and play or pair via Bluetooth and go. Usage: I did test this out on both Xbox (Series X) and Windows. On the Series X, it worked as advertised – double-tap the power button and the controls just worked. Audio quality was good, Atmos for Headphones did what it was supposed to do in both games and with movies, and the connection was very stable. Even Atmos on 4k Blu-Ray discs worked well. On Windows, there were updates to run before I could use this headset. I ended up restarting twice (once for the dongle, once for the headset itself). Audio quality was insanely good, Atmos for Headphones did was it was supposed to do in both games and with streaming content, and Apple Music Lossless Hi-Res with Atmos sounded very impressive (24-bit/96 KHz sampling is available for playback). macOS’ situation would have been similar to Windows with firmware updates had I not updated the dongle and headset in Windows. I couldn’t test for special audio compatibility as my Mac is too old, but lossless sounded great in Apple Music and game audio with a variety of titles was solid. I also made a quick composition in GarageBand and didn't have any noticeable latency compared to wired headphones. Audio quality via Bluetooth on my iPhone was decent. Game audio via Bluetooth was extremely low latency. Gaming performance on both Xbox and Windows was similar. Both handled Atmos in games like Halo: MCC, Forza Motorsport 7, and Doom Dark Ages very well. Game audio was placed exactly where you thought enemies, squadmates, and people you drove against were at. I also tried out music mastered in Dolby Atmos via Apple Music and noticed a definite increase of spaciousness in the music. In particular, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon felt like I was listening with a properly configured quadraphonic audio system which is very impressive for a headset without headtracking. I did find the lighting on the side of the headset distracting from time to time when I caught it out of my peripheral vision. It’s a nice visual flare if you’re streaming, but otherwise, I’d recommend turning the lighting off. I did notice that I wore these headphones 5 hours straight and they were extremely comfortable. I would have liked slightly larger ear cups, but the cushioning and covering made these melt away. Disappointments: Honestly, I wish I could have paired this with another one of my Corsair dongles. USB ports seem to be at a premium on many modern computers these days – I’m not knocking the headset over this, however. Also, I’d like to be able to disable the LED on the dongle. Closing: When it comes down to it, the Void V2 Max for Xbox is a solid option for a gaming headset. While you can get something that costs less, you’ll give up either build quality, audio quality, wireless connectivity, or some combination of the three. You can also spend more on other brands of headset that don’t do everything as well as the Void V2 Max for Xbox does.

    Fantastic Gaming Headset

The Corsair Void V2 is a fantastic gaming headset. It features both 2.4g and bluetooth wireless connectivity and can be used on xbox, pc, and playstation. It connects via a usb dongle. I really love the fact that it can connect to pc, xbox and playstation. And it's just a simple usb dongle and not some convoluted hdmi switcher. It works exactly as you would want it to, you just move the dongle from one system to the other and it works like any other headset. Really great for multi-console owners. They are really comfortable too. I wore them for over an hour and my ears never felt overly hot or fatigued. The sound quality was fantastic. The bass was really punchy, but you could also hear the subtle sounds like footsteps, and could even tell the direction they were coming from. On PC, you can download the Corsair iCue software and customize the headset to your liking. You can customize the lighting featured on the front of the headset, set the key assignment for what happens when you press in the volume scroll, and most importantly, adjust the equalizer settings. There are a few preset settings like movies and FPS competition, but you can also create and save your own EQ as well. Lastly, battery life on this headset is great. Corsair claims up to 70 hours of battery life, and in my testing, I was able to use them all week for a few hours a day and didn't need to recharge them. So 70 may be a stretch, but you can definitely get a lot of use out of these before needing a recharge. Overall, this is a great headset. You can use it on pretty much all modern gaming platforms, its really comfortable, has a long lasting battery, and most importantly, has really great sound quality. This is easily one of the best gaming headsets I've used in recent memory.

    Nice Headphones Corsair

Nice comfortable feeling headphones that don't sit to tightly on the ears. The USB donglle for wireless connection is the standard corsair USB, but nice and large, about the size of a typical USB flash drive, giving it decent range in my testing and not likely to be lost on the floor. It is USB A and I find front of the PC or an extension USB-A cable from the back to make sure its has an unobstracted view works awesomely in ensuring no drops, but that is mostly because I have a large steel oldschool case and it tends to block a lot. Laptops shouldn't be an issue, unless you don't have a USB-A port, in that case your need a USB-A to USB-c, so be aware. Same for the charing the cable. I found the battery to be long lasting and able to handle going days at a time between chargings. Also the volume on the headset is a rock switch, something different but I found easy to find when headphones are on and control, just different from the whell. Microphone worked well and is flip to mute. Its also flexible allowing for some different adjustments to get your voice just right. Only thing I worry about being flexible and not removal is damage to it over time, and not something I can measure, just something to consider. Sound is great and just perfect I found for gaming. Didn't make me any better but at least when I lost in games I could hear why which is always a plus. Overall I found these to be great headphones that work well and recommend them.

I feel the VOID v2 headset by Corsair is a solid contender in the gaming world, having a lot of different headsets, I have been using these for a couple weeks now and i really like them, they are by far the lightest full headset i own, i suffer from neck pain so the lighter the better for long gaming sessions. This headset features both 2.4gh and bluetooth connectivity, which is also able to provide simultaneous sound from both connections at the same time, which is a nice little feature. The audio on this headset is actually really good, the bass feels solid while all the other (highs) just pop out, providing a great sound quality all around. pros custom 50mm drivers built in rgb icue software to control lighting effects and an ability to tune the eq -customizable headset button, quick button app launch ability nvidia broadcast technology compatable boasts 70 to 130 hours of battery life (2.4vsBT) works with pc, xbox, nintendo switch, mobile devices cons for me the only personal gripe i could find would be the inability to remove the mic, again this is just a personal preference and weighs no bearing on the actual quality of the product overall this is a solid headset, as i mentioned, i am enjoying the weight or more so the lack of weight, compared to my other headsets. The audio quality is also very immersive, currently in battlefield it sounds amazing. I can see myself using this headset for quite some time for sure.

I am an avid gamer, and almost everything I play is multiplayer where I need to communicate with my teammates. As such, I am constantly trying new headsets. I've tried low end and high end, and the Corsair VOID V2 Max falls squarely in the middle both from a price perspective and a quality perspective. I think it is an excellent value for the price for someone looking to step up from a more basic model. The sound quality is quite nice, but true audiophiles will not be blown away. The Dolby Atmos support is a nice addition to add some good directional sounds for when those pesky enemies are sneaking up on you. Also adds some depth to the bass and treble for a wider range of sounds. The RGB lighting on the sides is also a neat touch. Granted, it's not often visible to the user due to the nature of wearing a headset and human anatomy. Still, gamers love RGB and I'm told the more you have in your setup, the better you are. Battery life is insanely long. I haven't worn it out in the first week of ownership while using it 2-3 hours per day on average. Being able to connect to bluetooth and Xbox at the same time is a huge positive for me. Mic quality is also very nice. I'm told my voice comes through clear and crisp without large spikes and distortion. Can't ask for much more. Overall, it's not going to compete with your $250-$300 headsets, but it will blow the under $100 ones away. Worth the upgrade.

I’ve been using the VOID V2 Max Wireless Gaming Headset by Corsair for a couple of weeks, and I must say that I’m overall happy with this product. It is doing great in terms of performance, with only some minor issues. Of course, one of the first things that one will notice is that this product comes with great sound quality. It is thanks to those 50mm custom-tuned drivers that this is achievable. Wireless connectivity has been working well on the PC as well as on the Xbox, which I am glad to see, as I am able to connect to the phone via Bluetooth as well. It is a great feature to have a phone call come in or listen to music during gaming. Battery performance is also as advertised, as I have not had to charge after long gaming sessions. In terms of comfort, the ear cushions, which are comprised of memory foam, are comfortable to the touch, even after extended use. Functionality of the microphone is also good, as the audio is clear. Background removal of noises is adequate. "The only negative aspects of this gaming solution are that the headset is slightly bulky in terms of design, as well as the time taken to set up the RGB customization via iCUE. Nevertheless, given the comfort level, battery life, as well as the phenomenal audio quality that this gaming solution has to offer, I’d say that this is a well-rounded gaming solution."

As with other Corsair brand headsets the Void Max V2 is packaged with thought and care. The headset is even covered with a cloth sock to prevent damage in the shipping box. The packaging is durable. Unpacking is quite easily completed. Allowing for the headset to be fully charged before Installing the iCUE program and updating both the iCUE and Headset needed to be updated. After the update you set up the equalizer to your liking. The battery is slated for up to 70 hours of use after a full charge using the USB dongle or nearly double that using Bluetooth. I have tried utilizing the Bluetooth connection with my phone. There is no problem switching from platform to platform. I have used the headset on my PC and XBOX. I also played on a PlayStation once without any problems. This headset lives up to the high standards of Corsair. The headset stays securely on your head while moving around. Once a day I binge-watch one of my favorite old TV shows for about 3 hours, there is no discomfort either wearing on-ear or over the neck to take a breather. The microphone also mutes when you slide it up. With this headphone being designed for XBOX and working with a PC with no loss of quality of rich playback is a winner.

CORSAIR VOID V2 MAX WIRELESS HEADSET

Just received my new Corsair Void V2 Max Wireless Headset for XBOX and this thing is amazing. I’ve gone through a number of headsets for both my XBOX and PS5 over the last few months and I must say, that I was absolutely blown away by the sounds quality of this headset. I have used other Corsair products for my gaming consoles and PC over the years and this headset is at the top of the list as one of my favorites gaming peripherals. And it’s so easy to use. The build quality is very sleek yet strong. It doesn’t feel cheap whatsoever and the earcuffs are very comfortable. Now Corsair uses the iCUE software that can be download to your PC or Mac to complete firmware updates for the headset and/or Corsairs devices. Once you have updated the firmware you’re ready to go. On the left earcuff is the mic which can be placed on mute, simply by raising this arm of the mic to an upright vertical position. Also on the left earcuff is the volume rocker and power button. There are also an RGB light on the front off each earcuff. Next I connected this headset via my XBOX X and was ready to go. Loaded up and game and had an amazing time. Everything was so clear. While playing a game and chatting with others, as I stated before, I was blown away by the sound quality and how surprisingly clear it was. Other games stated they could hear me clearly as well. I recently tested out another headset within this price range and while the sound quality was amazing, the mic was very muffled. However on this Corsair, other players reported no muffleness like the other headset. Very nice headset with a nice sleek yet sturdy build quality and an easy to use software (iCUE) to keep everything updated. Very soft earcuffs that don’t cause any pain or discomfort. Very solid choice for anyone looking for a nice quality headset for their gaming consoles, or their PC/MAC.

I picked these after searching through my options in the mid level gaming headset section. They stood out to me because I like this brand's memory, and it wasn't one of the 2 brands that I already have. I really like the other 2 brands I have, but I like to have variety if i can. These are a standard size, light weight and comfortable. The ear cups are soft and seal well, and the headband is secure fitting, not pinching or loose. I have warn these for 2 hour stretches without feeling the urge to fumble and refit. The ear pads seem to breath well enough. I use this on pc and use the 2.4ghz setting. The icue software is expansive, and can do way more that what i need to due, which is mix up the color on this headset, which it can do in so many ways. This can also control other rgb lights and fan lights (and speed), but unfortunately I don't have anything yet that can do this. I have contemplated getting additional ram for my computer, and Corsair does have led RAM that is competitively priced, but I’m not needing the upgrade yet. As for the sound. There is a good punch to the bass, and the voice and higher tones/sounds are clear and mix well. The spacial effect with atmos are very good. The mic are clear, my friends have no compaints. No noted issues with it picking up mic blow by or muffling when I moce my head. When playing driving games the dopler effects on the vehicles seem to ring true to placement around me, and in first person games, it separates right and left well. I something is flying overhead, front to back seems good if the game is programed to do this. I can't really find fault in these. Price competative for the features styling is good, fit good sound great. I have to give five stars. I do reccomend these to friends.

So I’m a a big fan of Corsair especially their headsets and this one is nice especially in the mid range category as long as you’re not on a PS5. I don’t know if the issue I have is something an update can fix or if I got a defective model but I tried everything and mine would not work with my PS5. Turn the PS5 and headset on and it doesn’t show up as an option to output audio to, turn the headset off and the headset shows up! As soon as I turn the headset back on it shows headset disconnected! I tried everything on Corsairs website to no avail, I even tried to reach out to Corsair but got no response, this was disappointing. When using the headset on PC,Xbox and with the Switch 2 the headset worked great. You get good situational awareness and has nice depth to the sound. In terms of quality the headset feels very nice and has a sold feel to them. I like the RGB lights and the comfort of the ear muffs. They have good adjustability and I think even someone with an XL head would be able to find a comfortable position. As much as I like Corsair, unfortunately I can’t recommend these with the issue I’ve had with the PS5. If the PS5 isn’t the platform you plan to use them with, then you should probably be good.

    Amazing sound, obnoxious lights

Not going to bury the lede here - these headphones sound amazing. The range is large, both lows and highs are crisp and clean, and the latency is so low that it's not even perceptible. If sound quality is your biggest criteria for a new headset, you can't do much better than these. But...the LED lighting is obnoxious, especially if you wear glasses like I do. There are 2 LED strips (one on each ear) directly on the front of the unit, and if you wear glasses while wearing this headset, you will see the reflection of these LED strips on the side of your glasses the entire time you are using them. I'm not sure who the target audience is for this feature, but I am not it. The good news is that you can turn off the LED lighting...the bad news is that there are many, many steps in the process. It turns out you can use the Corsair software to customize this setting - but you'll need a PC to do that. As a Mac user who acquired these headphones to use with my Xbox, that took some doing. Thankfully I had an older PC laptop in storage that I was able to install the software on; once installed, you can create a custom setting and set the opacity to 0% to get the lights off. Other than that annoyance, again - these headphones sound incredible. Just...be prepared to spend about an hour getting the lighting to turn off if you wear glasses (or just don't want to have every color of the rainbow flickering in your peripheral vision).

Tried out the Void V2 Max Wireless and, honestly, it’s a mixed bag for me. Build quality is solid—no creaks, quality plastics, and pretty plush ear cushions that seal out most ambient noise. The sound is pretty good: lows are deep, highs are crisp, and there’s plenty of good quality sound for gaming. The wireless connection is pretty good for PC and Xbox, with no noticable latency, and the battery life easily lasts a few long sessions before needing a recharge. Setup was a breeze. Plug the dongle into your system’s USB port, pair up, and you’re good. The headset is compatible with my PC, Xbox, and my Pixel phones. Most of the controls are easy to reach—volume, mute, and power are right on the earcup. The mic is decent for in-game chat, though it doesn't seem to be good enough for voiceover work, but that's not what it's made for. My main issue was the fit. I’m on the smaller side and, even after adjustments, these didn’t settle as comfortably as I hoped. If you’ve got a bigger head, they should be fine, but the headset feels a bit loose and bulky for me. After half an hour or so, it was pretty noticeable and kind of irritating. That’s not a deal breaker, but it’s something to think about if you’re not built bigger than me. Overall, it’s a decent headset with above-average sound and easy wireless setup, but make sure to check the fit before you commit. I’m giving this four stars—good enough for most, but not a perfect match for smaller heads. If comfort matters most, you might want to try it in-store first.
