Pleasantly surprised!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so pleased that I purchased this phone. I had to replace my Samsung Sol (which was awful!!!) This phone is fairly fast, seems to have a TON of storage, takes great photos and overall I am happy with it and will buy another for my daughter. The only cons are that it doesn't charge all that well but I think that is because the sales rep may have damaged the charging port when I was having it activated in store, it does not have the longest battery life, the SIM card is an odd size and occasionally the touch screen does not respond. I also like the rubber coated charging cord, just wish it was longer. But other than those minor issues, it is a great phone and I would definitely recommend!!

Good Not Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading so many positive reviews I wanted to love this phone but after using this phone for about a month I find myself only liking it. The pros are 1. Price is awesome $50! 2. It has big 5.5 in. Display. 3. Battery last all day. The cons that are killing the experience for me are 1. The capacitive buttons don't stay lit and there is no setting to adjust their backlight duration. This is a huge deal for me because you can't see any representation of the back or recent buttons when they are not lit. Only the home button has a non lit indicator. So what ends up happening is you end up tapping all over the place hoping you eventually hit something and in trying to hit the back button you end up either not hitting it or hitting it multiple times sending you back to some place you didn't want to go. It's absolutely maddening! Especially if your used to seeing these buttons being visible at all times on your other devices. The other deficiency is its processor is a little on the slower side response time from switching between apps has some lag and even returning to the home screen could be faster. If your a speedy texting person you may find keyboard not as responsive as you like. The last con is of course the camera and the audio. Both are only OK but i expected as much from a phone costing only $50. At that price it definitely out preforms. And if they had only used permanent identifiers for the other two buttons as they did for the home button I would have love this phone.

About Average
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone has some nice features like 16 GB internal memory, a standard screen display, and 1.5 GB RAM that it is a little below average. For the price it is a good phone with LTE coverage. On the other hand, I had a lot of problems setting up the phone. It took me a few days to figure out the problem. I added my own apps and widgets to the home screen. Turn it off, back on, and everything is gone. I finally found the problem. Go to SETTINGS/APPS, scroll to the right to RESTRICTED. Some how everything downloaded to the phone is restricted and will not work when the phone is restarted. The other issue is Cricket control on WIFI hot spot. Cricket wants $10 a month for that feature. Unlocked phones don't have that issue. The phone does lag. Press an icon and it takes 1-2 seconds to react.. Not as smooth as the BLU phones with faster processors I have. For the money, this phone is great, but not a powerhouse. It will serve its purpose and should last beyond the warranty period. I hope. But I am not impressed with this manufacturer. It may be the best buy for people who tend to go through phones rather quickly.

Great Phone for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this phone now for several months, I'm always leery of reviews by someone who has just purchased an item - there's no real track record. So with several months under my belt I can say this is a great phone for the price. Granted it's not the quality of a Samsung, but it didn't cost multiple hundreds of dollars either. The camera is only so-so. But coming from a phone that only had 8GB of memory, this is fantastic. No problems getting the all the apps I want on the phone. The call quality is pretty good. I don't make a lot of calls daily so my battery will last literally for days (I do switch it off at night). I generally charge it every other day and it usually has at least 50% left when I do. All it took to switch from my old phone to this one was to swap out the sim card. Easy.

I love this new Alcatel phone.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this phone on Wed May 4th. The Alcatel OneTouch Flint 4GLTE phone is so new to Best Buy that it's nowhere to be seen online. Even the Alcatel website doesn't have the phone listed. Not even Cricket Wireless has the phone on their website. No YouTube reviews or any kind of reviews before I bought this phone so it was a gamble. Now I have Cricket Wireless and I can tell you right now the Alcatel OneTouch Flint 4GLTE phone is worth the $79.99. It has 16Gb memory. 11Gb usable to the user. I have a 30GB MicroSD so no issues there. 8MP Rear-facing auto focus camera and 2MP front-facing camera. and a gorgeous 5.5" 720p HD screen. I think it's gorgeous anyways. 1.1 ghz snapdragon 210 processor. 1.5 GB Ram. It seems like a slow phone but I can tell you after owning this phone for a few days it's deff worth the price. Most phones with a big screen and a decent amount of ram are very expensive. So this is a treat. Camera quality isn't too bad. Decent for what it is. Call quality is very very good. VERY strong WiFi/4GLTE signal. I had the LG Risio and This phone beats that one on every level. Bad thing about the phone? Non removable battery. Takes about 21/2 hours to charge cuz its a new battery but after that it charges fairly quick. I use a battery saver app called DU Battery Saver. Well worth it. Oh battery is an impressive 2500 mAh. Don't know if I got that right. But good battery. If you guys want a much more in-depth video of this phone check out my YouTube page Reaper2065. It's the ONLY video review of this phone as I'm tying this up on May 6th 2016 on the East Coast. I did a 33 min video review of this phone and some picture and video quality and a video test. Check it out. Like I said this phone is worth every penny. In my opinion at least.

Fantastic Phone For The Price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love how much storage i can use from the phone which allows me to store a lot of apps, videos, and pictures. It has exceptional battery life that lasts a whole day. This phone is way cheaper and better than my iPhone 5s in hardware. I love this phone!

You get what you pay for with some glitches
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The touch screen has been off since purchase, I will go to unlock it and the pattern wont recognize and ive had the same pattern for years now or something that i didnt press will open or close....Battery drains fast compared to other phones...Phone design is very basic black box....The operating system does run fast for internet or opening pages also videos load quickly....Its better than most of the 8GB internal phones because you can load this with apps and not get warned about storage....All in all its an ok phone im not sure about the screen though...I would recommend the phone to someone on a budget

Great phone for the price!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Alcatel Flint phone is great for $49.99. I mean, wow! Big 5.5" screen. Processor is pretty fast. Nice camera. Very user friendly. 16MB of internal memory which is excellent. I popped in a 32MB Micro SD for more memory. The only thing I see wrong is the battery is stationary and thats about it! Ive had this phone for about a month and have no problems so far!

What a great phone!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sure, it's not the greatest phone out there, but for the price point,WOW. It is a good performer for the specs and has great call quality. I don't care so much for the feel of the screen, but after adding a glass screen cover it really feels premium.

Big features for less money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone has a 5" screen size and also has features of highly priced brands. I wasn't sure about Cricket Wireless at all. But after reading some reviews decided to give it a try. They will unlock the phone after six months of using it making it open to any carriers I want to go to if I decide not to stay with Cricket. The phone itself is worth buying for the price. Hope to use it for a longer time!

Great phone for a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great low cost phone. Calls are loud and clear, reception is also great. Sure it doesn't have all the bells and whistles but for the price it's a steal. No marshmallow here but lollipop is more than adequate. I am enjoying the phone.

Decent phone aside from one major flaw.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The navigation buttons on the chin of the phone are very unresponsive at times and hard to find because they are backlit and whatever system manages the backlighting seems to have a mind of it's own. The worst part is that, unlike other phones with backlit buttons, there is no setting to turn them off or on permanently. It's suuuuupper frustrating. And it's a shame because it would be a decent phone if it wasn't for that crucial flaw.
