    Clearly a lot of effort went into this remaster! It’s almost like a complete remake. Game itself is fun, but can get repetitive at times.

    Gameplay is excellent, combat is fun and the DMW system is pretty unique. The visuals are largely incredible- the PSP-era pre-rendered cutscenes look pretty out-of-place among the rest of the modern-quality graphics but it's not a huge issue. My biggest complaint is a lot of the English voice acting is pretty mediocre, but the good performances really stand out.

    It’s a beautiful remaster. The gameplay runs so smooth, surprisingly some of the highest frame rate I’ve seen on the PS5 so far! If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy 7 or JRPGs at all, you’ll love this game if not just for the story.
