Was gifted to my elderly mom for Christmas-used once then second time stopped heating. Exchanged but mom decided it was too big. The quality is great but these are huge so plan for the space to store when not in use. The first time she cooked soup and came out great. Never opened the second one.

There is only a high or low setting for the air fryer option. There are recipes that call for certain temps so it’s hard to tell which option to go with. I wanted to avoid having two different appliances but the two different bulky lids doesn’t really solve that issue.

Thought it would be great as a space saver appliance since it has so many options. But i didn't like the air fryer feature. You cant change the temp on the air fryer function. And the handle part snapped off and broke the first weak. I had to exchange it.

This Crock-Pot Express Crock cooker is amazing. It continues to impress me every time I use it. I honestly never thought I would use it so much. I assumed it would come out of the cabinet a few times a year to be used as a slow cooker and even less as a pressure cooker, but every time I use it, I am blown away! It comes with a pressure cooker lid, a crisping lid, a wire rack, and another wire reversible rack which lets you position your upper tier either high or low, depending on which way you place the rack. To try it out, I first made one of the recipes in the included recipe book, Chicken Parmesan with Garlic Butter Noodles. The end result was delicious. I love how I can use the same pot and cook the various parts by just changing the settings. For example, in this recipe, I added the butter and garlic in the brown/sear mode, then I added the water and spaghetti to the pot. Using the reversible rack and the beans/chili setting, I placed a souffle’ dish containing the chicken and various other ingredients on top of the rack and cooked everything in the pressure cooker mode (for just 8 minutes!) Lastly, I used the crisping lid for 10 minutes to finish it off. Everything in one pot, but I used 3 different cooking methods. The only problem I had was that the crisping lid would not fit over the souffle’ dish because my souffle’ dish was too tall. I fixed that by removing the dish, turning the reversible rack over to the low position, and then replacing the dish, which let me put the crisping lid on. So I would suggest if you need to use both lids for a recipe, you should try them both beforehand (or using a shorter souffle’ dish!) Next I made the Fried Cauliflower Florets using just the crisping lid. This turned out so good. Even if you are not a huge fan of cauliflower, I would recommend this recipe. So easy too. Cook 10 minutes, stir, then repeat that twice more. The next thing I tried was the slow cooker mode. I made one of our go-to recipes for this. I cooked a pot roast with onions, carrots, and potatoes. It was very good, as usual. Things I love about this cooker. 1. It is tall instead of wide. I had a slow cooker before that was oval and took up way too much room in the cabinet. This one fits in just a slightly larger space than our old Crock Pot. I store it with two racks inside, the crisping lid on the cooker, and the pressure lid over that. 2. So many different cooking buttons. If you have the crisping lid on, it goes directly into the air fryer mode, but you can also choose many other cooking modes. When not using the pressure cooker lid in the sealed position, it has buttons for brown/sear, saute’, simmer, slow cook, yogurt, and keep warm. When using the pressure cooker lid in the sealed position, it has buttons for meat/stew, poultry, beans/chili, soup/broth, rice/grains, dessert, and steam (yes, it also functions as a steamer.) You can also use the manual mode while using the pressure cooker lid so you can set your own specifics. 3. The delay timer lets you set it to start cooking at a specified time so that everything will be ready when you want it to be. Suggestions if you buy this cooker: 1. I like having a glass lid for the slow cooker. You can use the pressure cooker lid and just keep the pressure part unsealed, but I wanted a glass lid for some of the modes, such as slow cooker, simmer, and keep warm. Luckily, we had 2 or 3 glass skillet lids that fit perfectly. They looked like they were made to fit, so you may already have the perfect sized lid. 2. I didn’t really like using the hand-made foil lifting method because the foil gets hot, so I bought a silicone lifter. It didn’t arrive in time for my first test, so I can verify that the foil lifter works fine if you don’t want to buy a silicone one. 3. I was concerned about scratching the bottom of the cooker with the reversible rack. The other rack comes with silicone feet, but the reversible rack does not, so I bought a flat silicone mat to sit in the bottom of the pot. I couldn’t find a round one that was large enough, so I bought a 9 x 12 mat and cut it to fit exactly. It turns out that my salad plates are the exact diameter of the inside bottom of the cooking pot, so I used that as a template, drew a circle with a pen and cut it to fit. Now I can put my reversible rack down in the bottom without worrying about scratching it. 4. If you want more recipes, you can find several on the Crock-Pot web site. Also, I noticed that most of the recipes call for the Crisping Lid to be used for the last 10 minutes of cooking, so you could probably improve some of your own pressure cooking recipes by adding the Crisping Lid at the end. I love the way it browns the top, bakes in the glazes, crisps the edges, etc. I really enjoyed using this cooker and I would recommend it highly!

Crock-Pot 8-Qt. Express Crock Multi-Cooker with Crisping Lid – takes a lot of products and puts it into one unit. It has 15 one-touch program buttons - the big take-away is that it doesn’t compromise on any of the functions, and you have lots of customized cooking abilities. There is also a delay timer. This is basically the original all-in-one appliance from Crockpot that lets you Pressure Cook, Slow Cook, Brown& Sear, Sauté, and Steam – plus now it adds a crisping lid that Air Fries and crisps dishes. The 8Qt. size gives you plenty of room, and it is easy to clean up. Now I could write pages of our experience using this multi-cooker. We tried multiple recipes, and the cookbook that comes with it has step by step instructions, so you get an easy method of learning how to use all the features. It is our first time with an electric pressure cooker, and it is awesome and silent. I cooked stuffed cabbage, which is generally one of those all-day deals to prep and cook. After the prep, it was less than an hour to pressure cook and came out wonderful plus had easy cleanup. We also did a combo deal where we pressure cooked a whole chicken then used the Crisping lid to crisp up the skin after and all in the same pot. Then double-downed by pressure cooking potatoes in the broth leftover from the seasoned chicken. Can I just say Wow! I could go on and on, but if you want something that is a versatile cooker that does it all well and is easy to clean up, then don’t hesitate and get this unit. One thing I would have liked was a clear lid for slow cooking, but luckily, one of our standard 9 ½ inch pot/pan lids fits it perfectly.

I am in no means someone that does a ton of cooking, as I am a single guy with no kids. The past few months I have been using a standard small kitchen fryer for my items, and a regular slow cook crock pot for when I make other things. I got this item because I wanted to modernize and man am I glad I did! I have not made much with it YET, but I wanted to test out the air fryer option, and the pressure cooker option as soon as I could. One of the main things that I like to make in the crock pot is beef tips over noodles, but the problem is this. I pick up the meat (usually 2 pounds) around 5:15 and get home at 5:30. So after prepping it goes in around 5:45. I am usually not able to eat until 10:30-11 pm, as it takes that long for the meat the cook completely and become somewhat tender. Last night, I used this new appliance for making it, and MAN O MAN...I am impressed. What took 4-5 hrs, took 1 hour and 20 min using it as a pressure cooker with settings on Meat/Stew.. I also tried the air fryer for the first time, and while I can see the appeal of it, it is somewhat lost on me. The items I made came out great, just as they would with the regular fryer (albeit minus all the grease) BUT, and this might be a small annoyance for some, as I know it is for me personally, but foods I have made with the air fryer, tend to cool down a lot faster then when made with a standard, run of the mill, grease fryer. As someone who is a rather slow eater, yeah its an annoyance. This is NOT a fault of the device, but just air frying in general, in my opinion. I plan on giving my Italian Dressing marinated chicken breasts a try, but I am afraid they (3 breasts) will not fit on the little rack they give you that goes inside the cooking pot. The pot itself, while being 8 qt, seems sort of small, but then again I am used to the wider, oval shaped slow cookers. I plan on trying many more things with this appliance, but as for right now, I am VERY happy with it. Included in the box: - small plastic spoon - Cooking pot and the main unit - pressure lid - crisper lid - small rack that fits inside the cooking pot, that can be used at 2 heights. - second small rack that also doubles as a cooling rack for the crisper lid

My three kids are some of the pickiest eaters I know. The Crock-Pot Slow Cooker/Pressure Cooker/Air Fryer has changed dinnertime in this house. After unboxing the Crock-Pot and unpacking the pressure and crisping lid(s) it is pretty much ready to run. Three meals prepared and three kids satisfied. Operating the Crock-Pot is dead simple. One bank of buttons for slow cooking and another for pressure. The bottom buttons enable air frying and simmer/heat modes. There is a big display in the middle to help keep tabs on progress. It is as easy to use as prep the food, throw it in Crock-Pot, throw the appropriate lid on and select what you are cooking. The results have been tremendous. Out of the gate we made BBQ pulled-chicken using the pressure cooker. The BBQ pulled-chicken was great and was a hit with all three kids (and the adults too). Next, we slow cooked some chili. Brown some meat, throw the other ingredients in the pot, stir and wait. Another great pot of chili made and thumbs up from everyone. Last, but not least, we tried a recipe from the included cook book, parmesan crusted chicken nuggets. Cut up a chicken breast, egg bath, roll it in a parmesan bread crumb mix, and drop it in the Crock-Pot. Throw the crisping lid on and wait. Results were a healthier, tastier chicken nugget than conventional oil frying. We decided to get crazy and give some fried pickles a whirl. Same method as the chicken minus the egg bath. Voila! Great tasting fried pickles. Resounding win for the evening. Once the meals are made and everyone is happy the clean-up of the unit is pretty easy. Pull out the cooking pot and scrub. Wipe down the lids and you are good to go. All I can say is this Crock-Pot wields magical powers as we have never had three meals in a row that all the kids agreed on. The 8-qt Crock-Pot is now a counter fixture for the foreseeable future. The Swiss army knife of cooking and an indispensable tool in our kitchen.

The Crock-Pot 8-Qt. Express Crock Programmable Slow Cooker and Pressure Cooker with Crisping Lid is a large – small kitchen appliance. At 8 qts. The cooker is able to handle a whole chicken or a large cut of meat. It has a plethora of one touch settings that handle a large variety of cooking scenarios. The ability to use the pressure cooker for fast and fall off the bone tender meat followed by a crisper to provide a satisfying crunch is very nice. Easy to clean and easy to use.

I knew these were supposed to be fast, but just how fast was a pleasant surprise. I had expected to cook a Boston Butt roast for around 5 hours since it takes almost double that on my smoker. I followed the directions in the included recipe booklet, and had fall off the bone, melt in your mouth pulled pork bbq in right at an hour and a half. I like the built in sear feature, so I can brown my roasts nicely before I cook them. And I followed the included recipe and instructions and made some delicious Buffalo chicken wings. I like how easy it is to clean, and it's also super simple to use if you read and follow the instructions. The only thing I'm not really a fan of is the air fry mode, but I'm not a big fan of air fryers in the first place. Overall this one cooker will replace a few of my previous kitchen gadgets, so it also saves me a little space in the end as well. I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys cooking or likes to eat good home cooked meals.
