    This external drive is compact, easy to manage, reasonably priced (at Best Buy), and it was a great deal for the available drive size. I used it to back-up my laptop that was attacked by a virus and had only limited backup when it failed. Fortunately, when I got it restarted, I got this drive for a backup.

    Happy with this drive, decided on Pro after digging into details. It'll give me Time Machine backups for my aging Macbook Air M1 one one partition and room for playing around with saved files from some audio recording projects. Nice since I opted not to pay for a large drive in the mac. Reusable for another mac for it's audio production capabilities, when the M1 ages out.

    Bought this drive due to the WD SSD external drive not being SMART enabled. Apparently Sandisk took away SMART feature on the WD external SSD drives when Sandisk took over the WD SSD external drives . This Crucial drive is SMART enabled.
