Do not buy this external SSD. I've gone through two Crucial SSDs, one X9 Pro and its replacement X10 Pro. Both only mounted sporadically, and when mounted frequently disconnected and re-connected rapidly. Importantly Crucial has now discontinued all consumer products, including all external SSDs, and their warranty support is limited to the customer paying to ship them the drive at the customer's expense before issuing a very delayed refund of only the purchase price. Get a drive from a different manufacturer.

I’ve been with Crucial since 2021!!!! My go to brand sense!!! It’s sleek, it’s compact, you can attach it to a keychain, and the it’s speed is worth the price. I highly recommend

Happy with this drive, decided on Pro after digging into details. It'll give me Time Machine backups for my aging Macbook Air M1 one one partition and room for playing around with saved files from some audio recording projects. Nice since I opted not to pay for a large drive in the mac. Reusable for another mac for it's audio production capabilities, when the M1 ages out.

I like the size of this external drive. It is advertised that it has encryption for security protection. I could not find it so I contacted Crucial and they it does not! They also said to use bitlocker on windows. I have Windows 11 Home and it does not have bit locker.
