First used this at a friend's house. Produced fabulous ice cream. Decided I NEED this at home also.

We have rules for our kitchen appliances: (1) it must be something we'll use often and (2) not have unnecessary, expensive functions we don't need / want to pay for! This ice cream maker is *perfect*. We bought this after moving to Texas recently -- and it was the best $$ we've spent in a long time. Sure, it's a little noisy but you only run it for about a half hour before it's done so we're fine with that. Our favorite recipes: 1 can full-fat coconut milk + cacao powder + sugar + vanilla. Delicious! You can vary you recipe to use a lower-fat non-dairy milk and it's still delicious. Really! I've also blended whole limes + full-fat coconut milk and added a little sugar to make the perfect tart coconut-lime ice cream. After about a half hour you'll see it's almost read. Then hand-mix in your additions -- like crushed cookies, nuts, seeds, dried or fresh fruit or anything you desire. Enjoy! Note: the lower fat your milk, the harder it'll freeze when you put leftovers in the freezer. So if you're making sorbet just keep that in mind. Either way, it's always delicious.

Not for me. Too small. Requiring to refrigerate first is too cumbersome. Needs better technology.

This is a very good ice cream maker. It's enough for 2 or 3 people, 4 if you stretch it. Does a good job and makes it very quickly, in a matter of minutes.

I've made 12 - 15 batches of ice cream, and they have all turned out well. I keep the bowl in the freezer and I also cool the ice cream mix in the fridge as suggested. It beats the hassle of rock salt and ice for sure.

make sure your freezer is around zero F. I know everyone complaining that the ice-cream won't freeze, its there freezer not the ice-cream maker.

We are still trying different recipes to identify our favorite - but this machine is phenomenal - quick and very tasty probably sum it up!

I love that with just 5 ingredients, I can make awesome vanilla ice cream in just 20 minutes. Have only used it twice, but great results.

I'm returning this tomorrow. I used a quart of heavy cream. It started to overflow after about 12 minutes of operation. You lose almost a cup of ice cream between what you can't remove from the paddle and the sides of the cold bowl. I make less mess using a hand mixer and a large mixing bowl.

I bought one of these on clearance and it is the best thing ever! I have complete control over what I make and what ingredients are used. Only downfall is that it's a little loud.

Amazingly easy. Great for making your own healthier version of ice cream. Is a little nosy, but nothing too bad.

Just like with most ice-cream makers today you need to plan ahead. Freeze the container, make your ice cream and chill it and then you are ready to make your ice cream. SO far it has made delicious ice cream. It has taken longer than the 30 minutes, but I think if I chilled my mixture longer this may change. You do know when it's on, so if you want to make ice cream for guests you may want to do that before they get there as it is noisy. Great machine, great price. Happy with my purchase so far.

It as super easy to use and easy to clean, but the recipe in the book was not that great. If I found a better recipe, it would be a lot better.

Great product, read the manual for start up instructions! I didn't and messed up my first batch of ice cream!

Makes great ice cream without the trouble of messing with ice and salt, what a great product!
