Really disappointed in performance of toaster

One side of the toast is always toasted more than the other side. Is supposed to have a slot to toast one slice and it doesn't toast evenly either. We bought the toaster because of the two controllers for my wife and I to use. I don't recommend anyone purchasing this toaster.
