We found the adjustments to be anything but micro in that we would often have to keep a tub of ground coffee at the ready to "top off" the machine after fresh grinding because the setting rendered a pot that was either way too weak or way too strong. This occurred on multiple settings. The grind catching container is a bit of an odd shape/size so it's tough to not spill grinds when pouring directly into machine's basket.

4 months old and it died!

I have not even used every day and two days ago it died. Smelled like electrical burning and the motor was making noise but was not grinding. I chose this one over the more expensive ones and I guess you get what you pay for. I will not be buying anything cuisinart again!
