Q: Can it grind into flour grains like rice and wheat
A: I don't think it's that type of grinder. I would buy a separate and different device for grains and herbs.
A: No, you don't have to. I fill mine up about halfway whenever I grind my coffee beans.
A: I think you're doing it right - especially in terms of this particular grinder as the lid on the bean hopper is anything BUT airtight and would therefore definitely lessen the shelf life/freshness of the beans.
