    not impressed

I am not impressed. I expected more from Cuisinart. The grounds come out inconsistent and you can forget getting fine coffee grounds. I put it as far over as I could for fine and it still came out somewhat coarse. It is very noisy too. I did better with my cheap Hamilton Beach one.

I like my new coffee grinder but it has problems

I purchased the Cuisinart specifically to grind Vietnamese coffee. However, the high oil levels in coffee from Vietnam results in plugging if more than a few beans are ground at a time. Definitely the reservoir cannot be filled above 1/8 of a cup. Trying to grind multiple small batches results in overheating and the unit shutting itself down.

Very loud, and kicks beans out which causes it to take longer to finish a grind. Wish I had bought another Capressa, but I have waited to long to take this one back.

Constant cleaning required as it would clog up every few days (not because it was full) and start making a horrible noises. DID NOT LAST 8 MONTHS.

Free shipping - to Reno. Asked OnTrac what's up. Showed up 10 days later. Then OnTrac that seems to be the bottom of the delivery bunch gets back @ a week after delivery with a snarky "we see the package was delivered last week". Not sure about how much better burr grinder is yet. So far not impressed. Maybe better expresso but regular coffee seems weak no matter what the grind. The machine is fine.

I have had this just under 3 months and it broke today. It smells like it is burning and the motor is much slower. Reached out to Cuisinart for replacement. While it worked the grind was ok, this is the cheapest burr grinder I could find so I am not sure what I expected.

Bad and defective item and it doesn’t meet the specs. I tried to get a return or replacement but the costumer service is not helpful in my case. Do not buy if you’re intended in using it for espresso machines. The coffee is not fine at all

...from powder to pebbles. Unfortunately, it gives them all at once regardless of the sound. Seriously, you're better off with a blade grinder.

I liked the size of it and the design, but it did function after setting it up, so I had to return it. I will be shopping for a different make.

I have had this grnder for at least 8 years and it works well. I like the variable grind. Unlike some other reviewers mine has been very reliable. I have used it almost every day for those 8 years. It is a little messy but that is a small price to pay.

We returned this. It shot ground coffee all over from the top of the bin that holds the ground coffee. Lid was on as tight as it could be.

    Good but Loud

It is a very good grinder and I'm happy with it. The only setback is that it's VERY loud and very annoying when I'm grinding long for 12 cups. I appreciate the groove along the bottom to tuck the cord around and so I can store the grinder without the cord dangling.

Great coffee grinder. Just set the number of cups you want to brew and it automatically grinds just the right amount. Perfect!

    Short Life

This is the only grinder I have ever owned so I can't compare to other models. My wife bought 2 of them. She gave one as a gift that was used very little the 1st year but was re-gifted to us when our 1st one broke. Both have died in just over 2 1/2 years. Motor runs, blades don't turn. Pros: Lots of variable grinds to choose from. Large hopper holds 1/2 lb of beans. Cons: I think it's noisy but can't compare to others. Broke too quick. Coffee powder sticks to the side across from where it comes out and the lid. Very annoying and messy. Grind bin is hard to reset in grinder. Overall, I would pass on this one. I'm hoping there is something better.

    OK, but short life

I would expect a $60 grinder to last longer than 2 years. My grinder died this morning, it just died. I suspect that it is a component on the circuit board. I also found that the plastic around the blade chamber was missing some material so I have been drinking plastic laced coffee. I bought a friend the same one for a present and hers lasted about 6 months before it died just like mine. And I believed Cuisinart to be a good name.
