Customers are saying

Customers admire the 1500VA Battery Back-Up System's long battery life, strong performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its surge protection capabilities, reasonable price, and the informative display. While some found the unit heavy and noted occasional software challenges, the positive feedback on its functionality and features outweighs these minor drawbacks. The system's setup is also praised for being straightforward.

It's always good to have a backup in the event of a power outage but it's unfortunate most backups won't last very long in providing power. But enough to be able to power down without losing data.

Was a good unit, did what it was supposed to do but if your high end equipment is sensitive, xbox plays ration etc... then get a UPS that power factor correction (pure sinewave), it will grearly extend the life of this equipment... no buzzing from the stepped wave.

    CyberPower's customer service is lacking

After a little over a month, the UPS started to make a high-pitch whine (my guess is coil whine from the charging circuit) and reporting battery life of 55% despite having no power loss to the mains power. Tried to contact Cyberpower support, which they were decently quick to respond via email, but clearly did not want to read over any of my details or issues very clearly. After a bit of back and forth, they determined the UPS was working fine, except the issue they were trying to solve, was not the issue I was having. At this point I'm under the assumption they are not going to do anything to rectify the issue. As far as the UPS goes when it was functioning, it was okay. It's a little on the cheaper side and should've been a warning sign to begin with. In general, the consumer UPS market kinda sucks and you get taken for a ride in terms of price for what you get. In general, a good UPS comes with voltage regulation (in the case of a brown-out), simulated sine-wave output, and some sort or power bypass for when voltage from the wall is good rather than passing through the battery, which this had all of those, the quality and ultimately the companies lack of customer service has turned me away for good. Cyberpower's customer service has left me with a $170 paperweight, which at least I can get a replacement battery for $105. This is my 2nd Cyberpower UPS that's up and failed me within the past year.
