Customers are saying

Customers admire the 1500VA Battery Back-Up System's long battery life, strong performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its surge protection capabilities, reasonable price, and the informative display. While some found the unit heavy and noted occasional software challenges, the positive feedback on its functionality and features outweighs these minor drawbacks. The system's setup is also praised for being straightforward.

Bought this power supply for my security camera, wifi, alarm, etc..kept security cameras operational for over hour and half during an outage in my subdivision. Don't know how long the battery backup will last but I was glad I had it....a great power backup.

Bought two of these to provide back up for server rack with dual power supplies and network infrastructure for small office. They have worked flawlessly since installing, riding out our regular power surges and blips.

    Interruptible Power Supply

    * PowerPanel software breaks the ability for Windows to see the battery in power management. It's still in device manager, but no longer can you configure any settings for how the system operates on battery. * There is no way to disable the power-fail buzzer without having PowerPanel installed and the USB cable attached. * Even though self-test works, when you reach 3 years on the battery, the UPS will hard power off if you unplug or lose wall power. It's not faded battery problems, because self-test will run from battery and the runtime shows as 13 minutes.

The UPS is not able to communicate with more than one piece of software at a time. If you have the PowerPanel software installed, it will not be able to work with the Windows Power Management. In regards to the UPS alarm, this can be muted either using the software or through the LCD screen using the buttons on the front of the unit. To keep tabs on the battery health it is good practice to run the self test periodically. If you are using the PowerPanel Business software, you can also run Runtime Estimations. We also recommend replacing the batteries in the unit every 3 years, to stay ahead of battery failures. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our Technical Support team at 1-877-297-6937 (press 1). Thank you for your review! CyberPower

Less than 2 months of ownership, power outage knocked out my cable modem. Cost me a couple hundred dollars. Can't say I'm real happy, at least my computer works fine, so I can't assign total blame either....No software for control of unit, windows does it.

Works as expected, but emits a horrible plastic smell that lingers for weeks - I start doubting it will ever go away completely.

    Powers off

I've owned it for 2 years. The UPS intermittently shuts off completely. I have a very light load: modem, router, employee time clock, video surveillance system (excl monitor), credit card m/c . Total draw is only 25 watts. UPS says it should be able to run for 285 minutes (4.5 hours) with that load. With a laptop I can keep my business running as we were getting regular 5min - 90min power outages during the day. My security system sends me an email whenever we get an NV Energy power loss but I'm not getting any email so the main power supply is not going down. Buying another one today... I'm over this.

Works great when batteries can hold a charge

Works great when batteries can hold a charge. Unfortunately once the batteries die the unit just shuts down and no longer provides power to any of the attached accessories. Unlike other UPS systems this one does not allow for you run your attached devices without batteries or with dead batteries in place. This is a huge hassle as the unit simply turns off and essentially becomes useless until you replace the two batteries. Poor product design in my opinion. I would avoid purchasing CyberPower UPS units if they all work in this manner.

Hello JOTAAS, The unit was designed in this way as to not present the user with a false sense of security when the batteries have become depleted. The surge only side of the unit acts as a normal surge protector and will provide power as long as it is plugged in but the battery backed up outlets will need a working battery. We appreciate your input. Thank you for sharing your review! CyberPower
