I purchased this battery back up system to replace an old unit. It works great! I am using it to protect my cable modem and Tivo DVR.

I have had a few issues thus far: 1) The last power outage, it kept losing USB connection to my computer (which it was plugged directly into). This would reset the "shutoff" timer which put the computer to off/sleep during a power outage - so the computer never went to sleep. The cause if this was some sort of weird interference on the USB cable. Likely because this is not a pure sinewave UPS. Changing the USB connection to a hub actually solved it. My other major complaint is that you cannot make the UPS turn-on unless it is getting AC power. That is to aay: if you lose AC power and shut off the UPS, YOU CANNOT turn it back on. It will remain off until power is restored. Other than the above I have had no problems - not perfect but good enough.

This is a large capacity backup system. It has two batteries on board. The front control panel is logical and informative. I like the voltage readout so you can monitor what is going on. I am using this on my Video installation and it very useful when using DVR equipment so your recording are not interrupted during a power interruption. The 1500VA capacity is larger than most and will allow a reasonable run time without line power. I like the layout with all the plug in's from the back.

Good size for the power too. Other unit and the one I replaced with the same power were much larger. Thumbs up.

Not much to say but it works as described. I like the display as it can tell you how many watts/load you are currently using to gage your load.

These are great little units that I use for mission critical workstations and small servers. I have found them to be stable and reliable.
