So buyer beware and test the unit when you buy it. Other than that, it is a solid back up system. The software make its that much better.

However, it took us a long time to figure out how to turn the beeping off when it was not plugged in (but being used to power something). We eventually figured it out, but there are more user-friendly UPS systems out there.
