This unit does not have a software interface for monitoring remaining charge, which I should have looked for. Had I realized that, I would have bought something else. I had three devices, a PC, a printer and a lamp plugged into it when my wife decided to plug the vacuum cleaner in as it was the nearest outlet.. When she turned on the vacuum cleaner, it created a power surge and all running devices shut off, including this Dell XPS I'm using. It did not want to power on after that but we figured out a way to get it back running. Everything remained running when a heavy lightning storm rolled through but I feel like we dodged a bullet. Spend a few extra dollars and go for a unit that is more robust.
