I bought this 6 years ago and it worked great for 4 years before the backup battery started to fail. The construction of it is ok. The plastic seems low-grade but solid. nothing ever broke or chip off. great product for the price and it did what it was supposed to.

It is the first time I buy this brand and it works beautiful.

For regular home office use, this unit works very well. It has saved my equipment from Florida thunderstorms more than once. Wouldn't be without it!

This battery backup, or UPS, does its job. The alarm is a bit annoying, but its a solid product.

I got one of these about 2 years ago to keep the Aqua Clear 20 aquarium filter running during power outages. During an outage, it will power the filter for at least 2.5 hours. It's never skipped a beat. Reliable product.

This is the most basic UPS you can buy from BB, and while it works for what it's intended, I think it's better to invest at least $20 more and get a 650VA model. You will get more power, will be able to connect more equipment and get a USB cable and PC connection capability that you don't get with this basic 450Va unit.

A functional unit. Good spacing between connectors. Adequate power. Does not have management interface to PC. So, will not support controlled shutdown. Absence of PC interface not revealed in Best Buy information on web site.

This is the best surge protector I've ever bought! I love the fact that it has battery backup for my landline. Yes, I still have a landline. :)

It's small size makes it easy to fit almost anywhere. It accommodates the "bricks" fairly well. The only downside is I have one brick that covers the power button location.

In the lightning capitol of North America, one can't go wrong with this affordable power back-up unit.

I bought this to use as a temporary solution. I was eventually going to get a nicer UPS for my PC and use this one for my networking equipment. When I plug my (small) PC into this UPS, the fans on the PC make a horrible high pitched whine. It's bizarre, but true. So I'll be moving this out of my office and into the network area. I guess I'll be shelling out for a nicer UPS sooner than I thought.

My previous version of this UPS worked great for years. It finally died a few weeks ago where the battery quit working. I figured I'd just get a replacement, and all would be well. Since prepping and plugging it in, the breaker for the room trips at least once a day, which is unacceptable. I have my desktop and monitor, a room camera, my modem and router, and WD My Cloud plugged into it in exactly the same configuration as my old one. It's almost like clockwork. Every 4-6 hours, BAM, go reset the breaker. The unit itself is the only thing that changed in the entire room, and now it's going back. At least I know the battery backup works. It comes on every time the breaker trips.
