Little or no difference between this unit and APC UPS. Both provide power during power loss and will act as a surge protector. CyberPower does tend to be less expensive so there is that.

When I needed an affordable, efficient, compact surge and back-up system in a hurry, BestBuy has the answer. I received the purchase in two days and was able to continue. It was easy to set-up, the cord was the length I needed and the instructions were straightforward. I only needed 8 hours to let it back. I'm glad it was purchased and would purchase one again for meeting my specific needs.

I bought this surge protector backup after my internet modem power supply got fried in a storm. Since buying it there have been no bad storms so I cannot say how well it holds up or how long the power backup will last. It was easy to understand the directions and turn off the alarm since I didn't want to hear it in the middle of the night should there be a power failure.

Long power outages (5 to 13 hours) happen where I live as often as twice a month, and since we're in a dead zone for cell coverage we have to use wireless at home, so without power I don't even have a phone connection. This UPS is just right for keeping my cable modem, wired/wireless network and VOIP phone working during a long power outage. It's the kind of thing where there's not a lot to say about it. Either it works when you need it, or not. This works.

In my application, providing backup to our cellular wifi modem, it has worked superbly. We had some modifications to the house done that involved having the power to the circuit feeding it temporarily shut down, and it kept our internet and wifi going over the entire house and again the next day after recharging overnight. The outage the 2nd day was not as long, but still was several hours both days.

Glad i have protection for my electronics. Put my TV and sound bar on it. UPS is the way to go. It is a real bummer when your TV gets fried by lightning. No more

This product was a lot smaller (more compact) than the one I was replacing. The right price and the right fit.

I got 3 of these tied to my mesh routers, computers, and fiber connector from ATT. All are now backup on battery power and with my loading all of these give me 15-60 mins of backup time which is more than enough. 60 mins is the fiber optic converter and it's the only load. and 15 minutes is 3 monitors, 2 computers, router, and printer tied to it ;).

Glad I bought this. Gives me piece of mind to know I won't have to worry about power fluxuations messing up my equipment. Plugged my modem into it too. Feeling very good about this purchase.

I am using this in conjunction with the ISPs router to keep phone service in the house when the power goes out for a bit. However, I have a high powered amplifier attached to the surge protector portion, and once in a while the protection circuit trips when I turn it on. This causes all items attaced to the APC to lose power, which resets the router. A little frustrating, but the security of it protecting other items and having 10 minutes of backup power for the router is worth it.

I've been buying CyberPower Battery back-ups for a few years now. The latest model I bought (in-store from Best Buy) is smaller an lighter which I like, but has a flaw previous models did not. They changed how the plugs are arranged. The grounding socket used to be lined up along the outside of the unit, now it is not so I can only use 3 of the 4 sockets since the way the plugs are block the other socket. Previously I could use all the sockets since it was arranged so it would not be blocked.

Bought this to replace an APC unit that was way bigger than what I needed. The APC unit had been in used for almost 10 years and was on it's third battery when the battery gave up the ghost. This protects what I need covered and cost less than a replacement battery.

I got tired of my cable going off and then having to reboot when the electricity flickered and caused my modem for my cable to turn off. This unit does exactly what it says it does...no more having to wait for a reboot since my computer and cable modem continue to work. Even if the power goes off I still have time to save whatever I was doing on the computer so I don't lose what I was working on

Pros: Provides more than enough power back up for small IT equipment. I use it on my wireless router, cable modem, VoIP modem, and an IoT. The last power outage in my area lasted 15 mins, so I know it will provide power for 15 mins. The big plus is the user replaceable battery. Cons: Only 4 backup outlets. The other 4 are provide surge protection. The outlets are too close for power bricks. I use 6 inch extension.
