Charged battery for recommended 8 hours. Then intentionally shut off circuit breaker to my old HP desktop. Lost no data as battery worked immediately without a hitch. Plenty of time to orderly shut down. Remember: only 8 standard outlets; no other ports. Of these 8, only 4 have battery back up. I am completely satisfied.
