When the electricity shuts down the tv and cable box continued to operate uninterrupted. Would be great for computers and printers.

You just have to make sure you choose the right size UPS for the equipment you want to keep running when the power goes out.

We haven't had any outages or issues until today when the power went out. Instead of my NAS drive continuing to be powered on, this device started emitting a loud alarm, and there was no power to my NAS drive. The breaker on the device appeared to be tripped. I attempted to reset it several times and get the power back on. The reset switch didn't work, and the power button appeared to be broken as well. All I have now is a $60 useless brick. I would NOT recommend this as a reliable backup.
