I needed it to be able to support a home link system for the 30 seconds it takes for my generator to kick on in an outage. That happened today. All it did was sound a high pitched alarm, and my device shut off with no power to it. Worse, I had to turn off the alarm, whose sole purpose apparently was to announce that it doesn't work. And now, it is ten days past the point where I can return this piece of garbage to Best Buy for a refund. Don't get taken like I did, DO NOT BUY THIS THING.

Cyber Power wants me to pay to ship them for replacement. The cost of shipping even at the cheapest would be incredibly expensive. The end result would cause the units base price to sky rocket. AVOID CYBER POWER AT ALL COST They are garbage and the warranty basically useless if you factor in paying to ship to them. Also, research shows they last less longer than their competitors I would give negative zeros if possible

It turned on and from what i could tell the power light was on and my computer is now protected. Well, just 2 days ago the power went out and the house went dark and so did my computer tower. The battery backup did not work at all. It turned off too. I was very surprised because best buys products usually work just fine. But not this. I am very disappointed.

Take care to ensure you are not overloading the battery and only place critical items like the tower and a single monitor in the Battery supported outlets, and move all non-critical items to the Surge Side.
