I purchased this UPS to surge protect my entertainment center as well as provide battery backup for my router and modem. My house was hit by some sort of surge, and the only electronics that suffered were all plugged in to this UPS. I have always protected my electronics by a beefy surge protector that had connected equipment coverage. I was careful to make sure that the running wattage of the connected devices would not overwhelm the unit. I seriously doubt the credibility of Cyberpower's surge protection claims. I have been in a constant battle with horrible customer support about connected equipment claims ever since the incident that bricked my entire networking and entertainment setup. This has been ongoing for more than three weeks, if not more than a month. I have yet to hear whether any of my electronics will be covered. At this point, I'm at a total loss for all of my connected devices. I have other outlets in the house protected by another brand of UPS that I also purchased through BB and I will only use that brand from now on.

It is now December and the time I needed it to work, if failed miserably. We had a tornado in my area recently and the power went out. I was working on a paper for school at the time. To my dismay, once the electricity went out, the power pack began beeping multiple beeps in succession. That indicates the pack is about to fail. The pack turned off before I was able to save or logout of my computer. This piece of crap did not live up to the hype

Posted .Hello Raphael, I understand your UPS did not provide any battery backup. If the UPS senses a power outage the UPS will beep every 30 seconds letting you know there is a power outage. Posted .Our battery backups do tend to be a bit heavy as they have a sealed lead-acid battery within them, but they do a great job of protecting your connected equipment from brownouts and other issues with power. Just bought another one 27 Jun and after one power outage all four surge protected outlets stopped working. If I plug anything into the battery powered side it just beeps constantly. Will look for a new brand for my next UPS.

This thing randomly shut itself off and if not for my internal clock, I would've overslept and been late for work. I turned it back on, and it shut itself off again! I did a Reddit search and apparently, this is a thing with CyberPower UPS. Highly unreliable in my experience.
