That being said, soon after I plug in my new Cyber Power we did have a snapping power bump. Before this, my computer would have shut off and restarted...if the power was not out. This was an older Cyber Power that was definitely passed it's prime. My new Cyber Power surge protector did not blink. No restarting of the computer. For longer outages, well, luckily I have not had the chance to evaluate the CP.
