It can power few things for few minutes after you lose power. When using too much power it squeels with high pitch alarm even when plugged into wall. I really find it to be a dumb purchase.

Posted .Hello James, Thank you for sharing your review. A UPS is typically used with server or computer equipment. The few minutes after power goes out is enough time to save and shut things down properly so that data is not lost.

I use it for cable box and my computer. I have seen it work for two outages and I was pleased to not have to wait for everything to reboot and come back into service. I will get another for the main TV in the family room.
