Thank you for your feedback regarding the CyberPower 650VA Battery Back-Up System. I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the overload alert.

For reference, the power requirements are approximately:
PlayStation 5: around 200-250 watts under typical load.
Typical Flat Screen TV: approximately 100-400 watts, depending on the size and model.

When combined, these devices can exceed the capacity of the 650VA unit, which is rated for about 390 watts. We recommend not exceeding 80% of the UPS capacity to prevent overload, which means a safe operating limit of around 312 watts for this unit.

Please consider using a unit with a higher capacity. We appreciate your input and hope you find a solution that works better for your setup. CyberPower

Bought this for my elderly mother so she can get out of the electrical chair she sleeps in. Followed instructions, and plugged it into battery side, power went out and it didn't work. Numerous calls to customer service yields no assistance at all. Do NOT buy this product

Bought this in September as a back up to my expensive sewing machine for the surge protection. We had a power outage, it started beeping and the back up battery would not work. After the power came back on it still will not work. Tried the reset button and still didnt work.

      Hello froggiep,

Thank you for providing your feedback on this product. This model of UPS can support a max load on battery of 360 watts or 3 amps, some sewing machines may overload the UPS due to how much power they consume. We'd be happy to help you trouble shoot this issue and provide more information on the product, you can contact our tech support at 1-877-297-6937 (press 1).
