I put this in and it works fine for what I need. Was able to run a desktop, laptop and 3 monitors for at least a half an hour before I turned the power back on. I have not tested it to the point of failure.

    Not for Gaming PCs

Works as advertised. Plenty of plugs for multiple devices, the software runs great when you have it plugged to your PC. Lots of good options in the software, so no complaints there. My big gripe with this is I plugged my Gaming PC and my Modem to the battery back up, nothing else. When I play a game my PC starts draining the back up battery because it can handle the wattage from my PC and then it will start beeping at you and shut off. I knew it wasn't going to keep my computer running when I lose power but I thought it would give me at least a few minutes when I do lose power to shut everything down but I can't even do that because it can't handle the wattage from my PC even when I DO have power on! So now I only have my modem and a few other small things plugged into the back up battery. My PC is hooked up to the surge protector just not in the battery back up. That's a huge let down. IMO, if something that coast as much as this surge protector did I feel it should handle my PC being plugged into the back up section and not effect the battery WHILE I currently still have the power on.

Hello, The SX950U has a 510 watt maximum. For gaming PCs or consoles a 1500va or 900 watt maximum is recommended to accommodate those products effectively. Thank you for submitting your review! CyberPower

Better, but packaging misleads about capacity

Pros: improved features: adds USB power jack (much more efficient than using AC usb power brick. Also lets you disable beeping (quick-double-click of power button). Ample outlets with nice spacing. Cons: PACKAGING MISLEADS ABOUT CAPACITY. Actually 47 watt-hours. (Divide by your device's wattage to estimate battery-backup-time in hours.) So, for a 300W computer, that's 9 minutes of backup time. This product is intended for users to have time to gracefully shut down their computers in a power outage -- and software to do so is located on their web site (not in the box). My purpose is to use this at my TV to run my Comcast/Xfinity box in a power failure, as even a quick glitch (5 seconds) will "erase" the program guide info. This product is entirely sufficient for that application, thus my recommendation. However, I hoped to use this in an overnight outage to power my CPAP machine. Cannot do -- only about 45min of battery. Certainly an improvement over the previous CyberPower model. But, the directions need to document everything , and the packaging needs to quote KWH (or watt-hour) capacity accurately, not make it a math problem for EEs (and obscure for non-EEs, which I am sure was their intention).
