    I discovered during a power outage last week that the battery in my unit only lasts for about two minutes anymore, even under minimal load (I shut down my computer and monitor almost immediately, but it wouldn't even power my modem and router.) The unit still has 4 months left on the 3-year warranty. I expected, based on earlier reviews, to get a new battery for free. (In fact, their website won't even let me order a new battery since it's under warranty.) But instead, whoever is answering the support requests, who can't even post in proper English, keeps asking me inane questions to determine whether the entire unit is faulty, even after I clearly explained that it's obviously an expired battery. I have an IQ in the 90th percentile and a degree in electronics, I don't appreciate disrespect from third-world so-called technical support. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and pay for a new battery, and I'll never buy from CyberPower again.

    Not even 4 years..

    I've had this for not even 4 years. This morning I woke up to it making a high pitch noise. I had to reset it and it started to work but everything plugged into it isnt working right or losing power. I'll have to buy a new one, not cyberpower.

    Worked once

    It worked once. When power went out, immediately was able to shut everything down properly. Once power was restored, any attempt to use my computer the same as before (games, movies etc) my computer would lose power and the ups was saying it was overloaded. I had less items on the batrery after the power was restored.

    Shuts down with no warning.

    Works fine for 2 1/2 years, then without warning (no utility power loss) shuts down. I realize the battery is getting old, but the unit says the battery is good and passes self tests. A UPS should never just shut down without warning. Changed the battery and having same issue with shutting down every few days for no reason. 140W load so not overloaded. Warranty requires you ship it back at your cost. Not worth it.

    Do not get this if you care for your equipment

    I got one that failed to backup only short of 1 year after I bought it. It stays on for just a couple of minutes and then shuts down even when nothing is plugged to it. Also, the surge protection is only 890 joules which is not enough in areas that have continues power failures (like in Georgia). According to Cyberpower website, the baterry in this model is not replaceable. I tried to contact support through their chat and email, but they never responded back. The 3 year warranty is just a gimmick to get you to buy it but they do not make it valid. I will stay away from cyberpower products in any shape and size!

    Poor Lifespan

    Tried out the CyberPower 950VA Battery Back-Up System in black. Was hoping for some reliable power backup, but it didn't last very long. Disappointed with its lifespan.

    It has lasted for exactly 3 years and 4 months. Warrantee is for 3 years. I do not recommend it.

    Failed After Warranty

    Unit worked great until about a month after warranty period ended. Then, with no warning, beep, or any notice of trouble. Shutdown for about 30 seconds then restarted. Continued to do this randomly. Might run all day, might shutdown after 30 minutes of operation. CyberPower 825AVR
