This came quickly and is exactly what I was looking for. It replaces a 10 year old version of a similar product. one thing I did notice is that the lettering saying which outlets were surge and which were surge and battery are much easier to see on this model when crawling around in the dark with a flashlight behind your desk. I did still stick on colored tape to even better distinguish. But probably not necessary.

    My first CyberPower UPS

I've always bought APC UPSes in the past but they really let me down. One 650VA unit I had only worked for about 6 months before the battery failed. Since batteries are so expensive, I just replaced it with another 650. That one lasted a little over a year. The last one I had was a 800VA. One of the most annoying things about APCs is that they produce an infernal beeping whenever the battery kicks in that there is no way to disable. At least on my units. I decided to switch things up and go with CyberPower this time. So far this 950 has been ok. I've had no outages yet so I can't really comment on the battery-life.

So far so good. I went w/ this brand over APC due to price, but I have had better luck w/ APC. These have had issues in the past, but I thought I’d give the brand one more chance.

This thing is great! It has plenty of outlets for almost any setup and now I don't have to wait for my Tivo to restart after a power failure (well unless it's out for a long time) and I don't miss any part of a show or game I am watching, plus it should help protect the hard drive and my tv when the power goes out because I can then shut everything down properly and wait for the power to come back on.

I didn't realize these existed until we started having issues with our office circuits tripping. This is a life saver during those times. Also has a substantial number of outlets, but backup & regular, which is great for the many devices I need to have plugged in.

A great value find for a UPS battery backup. What I like about this unit is the number of outlets, the spacing of the outlets, and the choice of what gets connected with surge only - and what can continue functioning should there be a power surge-with-outage. I have a gaming computer used for photography and video use.

This beast is well worth it. The plug is angled to help with use on outlets with other power bricks or plugs already in and the layout of the battery/surge & surge protecting outlets is great for almost any collection of plugs. Plug in angles & spacing is as well done as can be on this size of brick. The two USB ports are easy access too, depending on where this is placed.

I have these for my work station and much of it must be shut down in a particular way. This makes it possible for me to back things up and properly shoot things down when power goes out. It’s happened once, so I’m glad to have it ready.

Cyberpower SX950U looks to be another great Cyberpower product. Easy to use - Plug it in, plug items to be protected in and let it do it's thing protecting against surges and power losses. This is my second Cyberpower Battery Backup and so far they do a great job protecting plus they have a very cool display to see what's going on with the unit and the power line.

We live in the country where just about every time it rains, our power flickers. I didn't understand how much stress this put on our electronics until things just started dying one after the other. There is not a single electronic in our house that is not on a battery backup now. I bought one of these for my house and one for my parents house. I have a few others in my home of another brand. I have had no issues out of either brand. I haven't had them long enough to provide any information on longevity of the batteries, but I can say that their performance has been perfect. The rain comes, the lights flicker or sometimes go completely off for a minute or two, but everything plugged into the battery backup continues to receive constant power with absolutely no failure. From my research and experience, this is one of two brands I would recommend. Having a battery backup, period, will save you thousands of dollars in the long run. So if you're on the fence about spending the money on one to begin with, I promise you will get that money back from the extra life you get from the electronics in your home that are plugged into it.
