Customers are saying

Customers admire the Gamer Ultra Desktop's performance and its affordability. Many appreciate its ease of use and the option to upgrade components as needed. However, some customers found the size to be larger than anticipated and noted that the fan noise could be excessive during gaming sessions. The lack of built-in Wi-Fi was also a common point of concern.

Works great as is but will probably upgrade the video card for some games and add a solid state drive to make it even better!

Okay so like you I read through all reviews and thought this was a good buy. It definitely wasn't. this computer is slapped together with some really cheap parts and sounds like a gasoline powered generator. I need advil every time i run this computer for more than an hour. It is sooooo loud I hate it wish i could get a refund. Tech support had no solutions for me. Don't believe me i could send you a video and its louder than the sound of my voice.

Runs all my games, boots quickly, good storage, not the fastest but it's bearable. Only issue is that the graphics card gives out once in a great while.

Bought the PC with the hopes of upgrading it in the near future. Right out of the gate you can just tell that it has a lot of problems. Mostly just small glitches that will cause the computer to give random error messages or make you have to restart it. My suggestion is save your money a bit longer and get something better.

As beatutiful as it is capable...

I had shied away from desktops for years - they seemed so antiquated - the domain of 'gamers' and those that had a small business. With so much mobile technology, I could not fathom needing one. However, I felt the creep of limitations with everything else. Netbooks and tablets are too limited in capabilities, Laptops are rather fragile (not coffee friendly, as my last was sure to point out). With so much technology focused on mobility, I hunkered down, did my research and then decided to nervously buck the trend. I can honestly admit, that despite the difficulties in ordering the item (the price has fluctuated with specific sales, and online/instore have issues with verifying the validity of the price {'left-hand/right-hand don't know what they other are doing..."}) - at the end, I found the kind ear of an intelligent agent over the phone who streamlined it all for me. When it arrived - it was larger than expected - but in an impressive way. It's beautifully American, boldly beautiful, yet subtly refined. The chassis is non-geometric from the front (as the pictures well show) and that provides an interesting form factor, but also allows you to display it, as a standalone piece - proudly. The power lighting is subtle, and importantly diminished compared to the "Northern Lights" that is the LED displayed clear panel to the side. This is the genius of the look - oddly neolithic compared to an I-Pad at first glance - but so beautifully capable to a fan of electronics, computing, engineering, mechanics, technophiles. For me, there is the added bonus - you're consciously reminded to keep the computer clean, and of the importance of air and breathing the computer needs. This is the Corvette to the Ford Taurus of many competing Desktops that are unimpressive and boorishly unimaginative in their design. The ability to see the heart and core of your machine creates a personified relationship with it. What may just look like LED lights, and clear panel to some - are they tools used to create a very partnered experience between man and machine, and that level of awe stays with you. Sure, it may just be lights and whistles - but that is a draw to even non-technophiles - it lights up! For a monitor, I have used my TV - HDMI cord and Voila! A corded keyboard is included, and despite it not being the highest quality, or even Bluetooth capable - I easily forgive those for the ease of use, as it is a gaming keyboard. Volume controls, launch browser keys and brightly red "hot-keys" optimize it for gaming, but are so easily unconscionable to non-gamers. The mouse - is a must have. Again, corded, but extraordinarily capable (equally 'hot-keyed') - and ergonomic! Inside, though - She is an Assassin. I've purchased IPads, New Laptops, 2 new phones and even a new camera within the past 9 months - but this Machine makes me mad with power. There are no limitations, and I say that as somone that is currently writing a review, listening to a Youtube video, scanning documents and also running multiple tabs of my browser open to do so. If I attempted to do so on any mobile device - power and capabilities both suffer. With this Machine - neither are a thought. Make no doubts, God Bless Gamers - because their needs have made these Machines almost luxurious in their capacity and capabilities compared to high-priced mobile alternatives. Research will lead you to question the capability of the most important part, and the processors used here were not avante-guarde, but being placed into a desktop and being bundled with the other components, the Machine soundly handles it all, and well. As for noise - in a completely silent room, there is only the barely audible fan running. It is muted, constant and very much comparable to the same noises emitted from a laptop when stressed (and so the fan becomes activated on it as well). The fan is indeed quiet enough that it is inaudible, when in a silent setting, if you were recording voice or even using a microphone to speak on the phone. I've had my shares of buyers remorse before, and I was hesitant at first - but if you have the space, and could use the capability - this would be worth four times the price if it were compared to a mobile competitor. As a modern technophile, I was ashamed at how poorly I understood desktops. The power/performance/price ratio here is impressively overwhelming. If I were this demanding of capability (not to mention the unmatched/ impressive look, and I know - looks are superficial) of an Apple product, or - for that matter - any other competitor, I would pay much more for it. This is at that Nexus - now, amazing pricing, and great performance. I may not have been the target audience for this product, but the device is so well built (again, Thank God for GAMERS!), and so stunningly capable, that they demanded and built a machine that is capable of being your home/business/work/play/edit/share/Youtube/Netflix - and many time, all at once. P.S. - These Machines are artistically beautiful, and quite a flirt with the light show. Showing it off is an inevitability!
