So far everything has been fine on my PS4 Pro. But there is no way I could give this 5 stars with the terrible performance this has on the base PS4. Hope they figure this out.

Meh. This game is kind of broken even playing on the PS5 and if you are trying to play it on the PS4 don’t bother because it’s completely broken on that. I wouldn’t recommend this game to anyone. I would wait and see if they patch the game up, if not don’t bother.

This game has been out for a year now and after a number of updates is still extremely glitchy. ANd even once you get past that part, it's pretty much a sub-par sci-fi GTA. Not worth it.

Performance still isn't perfect on the PS4, but it IS playable... and the free upgrade to the PS5 version makes it more than worth the price

    Runs semi-stable on PS5

What it says in the title-as of this writing (9/10/21) the game is semi-stable running on the PS5. Frankly, the game suffers from the same sort of weird glitches you see in other sandbox games(enemies clipping through the map at times, etc.), which is forgivable. It has hard crashed enough times for me to warrant bringing it up here(seems to be exclusively in the overworld transitioning between loading points). That being said it appears to be doing far better than it was at launch concerning stability and I have been greatly enjoying the game otherwise. It looks like in the long run there will be enough emergent gameplay/varying playstyles to where the frugal gamer will get a lot out of it. It will continue to receive polish; it is unfortunate that given all of the issues that it was still rushed out the door the way it was.

    Stay Away on PS4 Standard

I really want to love this game but it just does not work on PS4 Standard. It drops framerate and you can barely see what is going on half the time when too much is on screen. The story seems great but I just can't get into it with all the bugs and issues playing.

A lil glitchy but you can play it. The autosave feature is awesome since if you do come across any game ending bugs you can normally find an autosave from not far back :)

Game has a lot of bugs as of late needs a lot much more work to be done to it. When it works fine it’s a great game futuristic GTA but since the game was released before it was fully done it has a lot of issues.

This game is good and has great graphics, but is not my type of game since it covers many things that are not RPG; also, story was not the best.

Plain and simple this game fails to promise what it intended to promise. Played on both Ps4 Slim and PS5. Trying them on each console, yes performed better on the PS5 but that should of never been the ONLY case. Huge let down to what looked to be an amazing game

Played on the PS5, it's a fun game. Will be great, but needs work. The developers clearly needed more time. There isn't even a ps5 version of the game out yet, which was also disappointing for how hyped this game was. Give it a year and this game will be 5 stars.

Plague of bugs but...fun and diverse.

If you take away the constant bugs that plague the game, the low number of NPCs in the city that was promised in the E3 showcase, and the amount of backlash that CDPR has received from before release, this is actually a decent game. The Character Creator is one of the most diverse that I have played on and some of the options really gave me a chuckle. However, some options like hair/beard color are lacking. Moving onto the gameplay itself, there is a TON of skills and perks to choose from. You can have your main character be a stealthy assassin, a hacker, a brawler, or a myriad of combinations involving all 3. Quest dialogues are not shallow and blank, you feel as if your options matter. This game has the potential to be very fun and addictive. However, do I recommend buying it now? No. Give the game a few months to fix the horde of bugs and you might finally be able to dive into Night City.

I wanted until it was $5, and until the PS5 version was out. And for that price, its amazing. It's like, sci fi fallout sort of.

This game is definitely fun but is still very buggy. I am playing this on a PS5 and the performance still isn't perfect. My opinion is to wait for more patches unless you can get this on sale for $30, as I did. DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU ARE PLAYING ON A PS4.

I waited 7 months to submit a review. I remember when Witcher 2 and 3 came out, those games needed a lot of work, but were fantastic end results. This game was clunkier at launch, but I held faith that CDPR would come through. 7 months later and still waiting. Every-time they release an update I'll jump back in just to see if it's better. I still crash daily (and I'm now on PS5). Originally played it on PS4 Pro. But bugs and crashes can be corrected, and I still believe CDPR will make a stable game. Unfortunately that can't fix the core problems. A. It's boring. It's just boring. They turned vibrant and dense sci-fi journey into a futuristic blade runner style game into a bunch of boring fetch quests, particularly when one of the things that made Witcher 3 standout was it's quests were fun! The combat isn't fun, on harder difficulties you get one shotted, On lower difficulties the guns make no difference, you might as well run around with Sir John P.... the whole game. B. graphically it's not impressive. For a game made a decade after GTA, and meant to mimic some of it's successes, it failed miserably. Driving isn't fun, cops are just dumb (they apparently added them late in development and never got it right). This game as a multiplayer experience would be a snooze. Hate to bring up the Witcher 3 comparison, but on the PS5 the Witcher 3 looks and feels legitimately better. Someday this game may be worth playing, but for now, 19.99 is too much to spend on it, 10$ might be worth it, but you'll have to stomach crashes, cars falling from the sky, clothing disappearing and reappearing, and Keanu Reeves, just a regular dude, with an impressive... ability to cash CDPR checks.

Game is fun and story is great, but the bugs and fps are very disappointing, but giving 4 stars because I know CDPR will hammer out the issues as they did with Witcher 3

Aside from the many issues at lunch, this game's story and ambitious world design, and outstanding character design, make it a top-class AAA title in its own right.

The purchase at Best Buy was quick and easy. The game itself is waiting for updates before it can play flawlessly. It's an awesome game, just needs a couple of patches.
