You know, I can forgive the buggy launch, hell I can even forgive the bugs in general. Some of my favorite games were riddled with bugs, and most of the bugs (at least on PC) were not massively game breaking for me. But you know what I can't forgive? The lies. The lies that this game was promoted and showcased as something that it is not. Meaningful Choice? There is no meaningful choices that affect the story in any way, except for the endings. Varied quests? The quests outside the main story are all similar, go into a place, shot things, steal something, leave etc. Progressive Enemy AI? The dude you are shooting at level 1 does the exact same things the dude shooting you at max level with full augmentations, except with a more inflated health bar. That being said enemies will just stand in the open waiting to be your personal bullet sponge half of the time. The other half of the time they sit in cover and never move even if you approach them. RPG Elements? There's almost no player choice outside of, kill or knockout enemies, which doesn't effect anything in the game. A complete game? Multiple things were cut from this game including an entire skill tree that still literally has the visual for it in the menu, just crossed out with static. Rushed quest lines including main story quest lines. You will have a ton of fun for the first 5 hours or so, then everything will start to feel like that same thing. And even as of today, almost a year after launch, the game is still an unfinished buggy mess. Cannot recommend, there are simply better games worth your time.

Good but it could have been great. It takes while to get into the story but it is strong once it gets moving. The game has some very impressive visuals at times when its properly working. It has some unique and fun side missions and overall fun gameplay. It just doesn't seem like a fully finished product at this time.

Got this for a steal for $5 on sale. It was a bargain since even though it's the PS4 version, it comes with a free PS5 upgrade. Plus I waited long enough that they patched most of the problems that this game was having upon release. It's a huge world, very graphically beautiful and involved. Plan to spend many, many hours traversing it.

This game was an absolute disaster at launch and the developers should be ashamed of themselves. However, to their credit, they kept working to improve their unfinished mess of a game and now it’s in pretty great shape. I just feel bad for those who bought it at launch for a much higher price.

Too much hype can be a bad thing and this game is prime example of that. The bugs and crashes make it unplayable but when you are able to play, the story and world is breathtaking. Wait for major patches and better to come out. It should have release a year further imho although its been delayed quite a lot.

Well this game finally hit clearance and has gotten a lot of patching since it released. This actually could and should have been a great game. If you have a high end PC then it was worth playing but it was just released broke on last gen x86 consoles, Well after numerous patches it does run a fairly stable 30fps on PS4 pro. They put more attention on the PS4 optimizations so I think it generally runs better on pro than XB1X. I wouldn’t even bother with ps4 or xb1 standard as it still struggles. It runs decent on ps5 or Series X/S but if you want to play it on those systems I would wait for the optimized version next year as it will finally run properly. It reminds me a bit of Mass Effect Andromeda. Its not at all a bad game, its a game spoiled by bad performance and glitches. EA stuck with ME4 and improved it a lot technically over time and its now worth playing. CDPR doing the same and not abandoning the game even after its disastrous start.

Purchased this on sale for $10 and waited for the PS5 upgrade. It is definitely worth the price at a deep discount if you have a PS5. I never experienced any serious bugs b/c I started playing CP2077 after the major PS5 upgrade. I have no regrets at all.

Cyberpunk is unfortunately an average experience for a game with so much hype. Im a fan of the studio’s prior work and was looking forward to this game. The current state of the game is very buggy, even on the PS5. The graphics are good, the story is great, and the pieces are there for a game that stands above. Unfortunately the game needs a lot of work. Id recommend waiting until the reviews report a stable game for the best experience.

This game has a lot of bugs. That being said, I think some of them are quite funny. I haven’t experienced any game crashing issues personally. If you can look past all the issues and can enjoy the game and it’s story I say purchase it. Overtime the game will be updated and improvements will be made.

Really nice game, filling the gap of GTA 6. Still it has its own loopholes, but overall it's an okay game.

I bought it on sale and waited for the PS5 upgrade to play. On the PS5 the graphics look amazing, enjoying the story so far. I did encounter a couple bugs, character walked through lockers and face down in the street in a walking motion.

Needs some patching and updates but overall beautiful graphics. Fun and large open world . Fun gameplay and the story holds your attention . Plenty of different ways to complete missions and skills are nothing groundbreaking but fun and diverse. I recommend this for rpg fans and FPS fans alike.

Great game!!! I’ve been hyped for this game for the past 4 yrs!! I’m currently running on PS5 and while it does have its crashes at times, the game itself is beautiful. The storyline is immersive and there’s always something to do. I know CDPR probably could’ve done a bit better with rolling it out for last gen consoles and it’s unfortunate that some can’t play it due to bugs and glitches. Had they waited an extra year to finish people would’ve been mad, they lied about how it ran and people are mad. I’d say just shelf it til they come with updates and give it a go because it really is a great game. BestBuy shipping sucks though because I was supposed to get the game at launch and it took a full week after even though when I tried tracking it through bestbuy it said is was going to arrive at launch.

I was hesitant to buy this game, but then the price dropped by half and I decided to take a chance. I was really surprised and excited when I got the package. I really love this game even with all the bugs and broken gameplay, I’m playing on a ps4 pro and I haven’t had quite any trouble.

Got it for 10$. Absolutely a solid game. Had a lot of Far Cry energy but still unique itself. Buggy af sometimes, but nothing you dont get from a Bethesda game or launch day Blizzard game so i dunno why everyone was so up in arms.

Review for PS5 Upgraded version - I skipped this game at launch for obvious reasons but decided to give to a try now that things have been patched up. To my surprise I really enjoyed it. Yes the city is still lifeless, the gunplay stiff, and there’s this huge beautiful city with not much to do in it outside of main missions and side quests. That being said I did get wrapped up in the games story and there was more choice options than I was expecting. Much like the Witcher before it the side quests have some of the better gameplay sections and have surprising twists and turns. I didn’t have any performance issues or major bugs. Things ran smooth throughout my 27 hour play through. If you can get it on the cheap I highly recommend at least trying “if you’re playing on Next Gen or PC only”

Super stoked about the steel book cover. The game itself, however, has a lot of glitches. But then again, it took 5 plus years to make. So I'm not suprised. It was bound to happen. I generally love the plot to the game though. Aside from the minor glitches. It' still has a great story.

I got this on sale for $10, and it was definitely worth that. I'd also say it's definitely not worth full price. So it's up to you to decide where in between that it falls for you. I played this months after release, when it had had enough time to get some patches in, and I had a small but still noticeable number of bugs and glitches (for example, one woman with invisible legs in the starting area and other graphical glitches, a couple quests not progressing until I reloaded my game, a couple crashes, etc.), but nothing too horrible. The game world also felt a little empty. For example, I'd be driving through the wide-open desert at night and see a sea of taillights in the distance, but as I got closer the lights would disappear and there'd be like 2 cars on the road. Things like that. As for the game itself, the main quests were great. Good story, fun missions, no complaints there. But the side quests were very hit or miss, mostly miss, being repetitive "go here, kill people, do a thing, turn in," by-the-numbers filler for the most part. Combine that with the more empty world and my recommendation would be to, unless you're a completionist, just stick to the main quests and throw in a side quest every once in a while for variety.

before i had the chance to play there were saying last gen console have a hard time especially og ps4s. i have had glitches and other things nothing game breaking. with a game of this magnitude and type there are going to be issues and granted this close to launch. give it time things will be worked out. all in all i enjoy this game that is going to depend what kind of experience you want to get out of this. i love the rpg elements reason for getting this. best way to describe to this to people is gta crossed with fallout. cant wait to play on ps5 so cant judge this game to harshly when it is intended for next gen and i plan on playing nthis next gen. are there problem yes. do still enjoy this yes. and the Packaging is excellent. steelbook stickers dlc other stuff for 60 dollars stuff you usually pay extra for like steelbook. the packaging for standard edition is impressive. seems like a studio that cares for fanbase but not everything should be expected to work out
