Customers are saying

Customers highly value Cyberpunk 2077's captivating story and immersive open world. However, many reports cite significant issues with game performance, including glitches and crashes. The game's artificial intelligence also received criticism. While some found the price reasonable, the technical problems overshadowed other positive aspects for a significant portion of players.

I love this game! I haven’t beaten it yet because I’m really taking my time. I have it on my Pro and it’s fine. I experience the occasional crash but it isn’t any worse than Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The story is great, the characters are wonderful and gameplay is satisfying. I would have preferred a third person perspective or at more of a mix with the two but I’m still enjoying the game. I will play this many times as I know that CD Project Red will keep sending out patches to clean the game up. So far, great game.

I wanted this as an RPG primarily… Its not that, but it is closer to that than what it appears. You can tell there is a lot of story and world building beneath the surface, but you really have to look for it (a LOT of reading of in-game articles, objects, and adverts). If I paid full price and played on day one on a slim PS4, this review would be a lot different. Sale price + realistic expectations + Loads of patches later… definitely worth it!! I just hope they keep updating and building it out because there is so much in the world that was obviously cut out or just unfinished.

I enjoyed the story with and experienced a few glitches along the way. The game was playable on day, unlike Cold War. I will be replaying it again when the ps5 upgrade is out.

I own the base PS4 and I can safely say this game is still worth your hard earned bucks. Does it crash to a blue screen, occassionaly so save often. Is there tons of graphical issues like slow loading textures, weird pop in, NPC doing weird stuff, lagging and freezing, yes those issues still exist. However, this game is AWESOME, the story GREAT, voice acting GREAT, narrative GREAT, the side missions and quest missions GREAT and MEMORABLE, You loot and shoot, the city is incredible, it's so vast and the attention to detail is exceptional. Looting and crafting is so deep. The missions are so much fun and really stick with you. The brain dance missions are some of the most original gameplay I have experienced in an open world game. The stealth and hacking is great and combat gameplay is frantic and fun. There are so many cool types of weapons and guns, there are even some unique melee weapons to be found if you are looking, my advice search every room with a fine toothed comb. The in game NPCs are really fleshed out, have great personalities and dialouge. They really help pull you into the city's lore and character. IMO, I don't care what anyone thinks, the one player adventure of this game absolutely destroys GTA V and comes close to dethroning Skyrim. The missions and story crush the stupidity of GTA V, sorry not sorry. This is a great game, warts in all. JUst buy it!!!

The latest patch has improved stability greatly but expect poor performance nonetheless unless you are playing on a PS5. Story was pretty good but you could tell it was ultimately rushed and unfinished. Worth a play only on sale in my opinion.

Game is not as visually stunning on original PS4 as what was shown on the PC version. Some bugs but I expect devs to fix it. Otherwise very entertaining and great story line.

I paid $11 for this game that also came with a Steelbook. For $11, I have enjoyed this game. I also play it on the PS5, which its my understanding that the game plays better on the Next Gen consoles. I can't confirm that. The graphics are good. The story is fun. Its easy to see that the developer wanted to create something beautiful and engaging. I would not recommend buying this game for full price, but then again, the only game I pay full price for is MLB The Show. Every other game I purchase on sale. At $11, I have gotten my money's worth.

This game delivered on all fronts for me - the graphics, the story, the setting, and the gameplay were all everything that I would have wanted. So much to do and see in this world. BUT only play if you have PS5, especially now with native PS5 version to unlock free with PS4 disk. PS4 performance unacceptable, should never have been released as a PS4 game.

Deep down this game a fun and amazing game. Yes. Let's be honest this game has problems on the current generation game systems, but seem to work great on Next Generation Game Systems (PlayStation & Xbox). The game is is getting updates to improve the game. Let's really talk about the game. This game take place in a different Version of the future. You can play a character that gets involved into situations where you can get involved in crime, hacking into computer systems to get information or money. It really depends on you how feel about this game because it's different for everyone that plays the game.

First, major points to Best Buy and FedEx. During a global pandemic, they managed to ship & deliver my copy by release day. I had it loading up on my PS4 Pro right after work. To address the elephant in the game, I am experiencing some performance issues as only one patch has been released so far. I'm seeing popping and minor framerate drop as well as a few glitches. HOWEVER, none of this is game breaking and I am confident a solid developer like CD Project Red will continue to patch and make better. After playing through Witcher 2 & 3 and all DLC, I have absolute confidence in CDPR. For the game itself, immersive is an understatement. The amount of detail poured into this game world is unbelievable, the in-game ads alone can draw you in for a good couple of minutes as they are each creative and full of references. Characters you encounter in the story and side quests are all unique and very well developed to the point where I feel like I'm getting to know and care about them more so than most characters in a lot of RPGs. Controls took some adjusting for me as there are more options than usual for console settings, but once I got a good feel dialed in, I was surprised how well CDPR went from traditionally 3rd person RPG games to a first person RPG. I can't wait to see what type of DLC will come out in years to come. Also, I was so surprised to find that this physical copy came with a dustcover, ACTUAL instruction manual, physical map, stickers, and some other bonus items like art postcards that I am not sure will be available with copies too long after release. Physical copies these days do not include these items anymore so this was icing on the cake. This game is best played on newer hardware. Given that this console cycle is the longest in history, it only makes sense to play the newest, most complex game on the latest hardware. If you're into massive, immersive open world games set in a dystopian future, you will only miss out if you don't experience Cyberpunk 2077.

It’s a fun game with a lot of stuff to unpack at first. There are a ton of glitches but if you’ve played something like fallout 4 it won’t bother you really. The game does crash a lot though so be wary. I’d say get the game but you might as well wait until it’s on sale. They’ll be adding free dlc (supposedly) so you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. I have a PS4 PRO so I don’t know how bad the glitches are on the base models. It’s an addictive game, for sure. It’s not better than Spider-Man or God of War or Sekiro or even Zelda BOTW, but it is very exciting and it takes your mind off of everything.

The story is top notch and the gameplay is pretty good when you aren’t be hit over the head with glitches, I think once the Jan/Feb updates come out this could be in contention for game of the year, but the broken state it was shipped in is unacceptable

This game was rushed, and it shows. I have encountered so many freezes and bugs that this game is just not enjoyable. I may go back once it has been updated for the PS5, but for now, I would steer clear from the PS4 version.
