The game is playable on my base ps4, not nearly as bad as people make it out to be .... but it is clunky, buggy, and visually it looks like a PS3 game. Any other ps4 game, like RDR2, Far Cry 5, or even the tiresome Days Gone look so much better. Honestly though I'm having fun with it so far and haven't had any showstoppers. The nice way to describe it is that I managed to buy and play a ps5 game.... before I've been able to get my hands on a ps5, and it's really making me want to get a ps5!

Played this on PS5 and still ran into more than my fair share of bugs and other issues. The game ran incredibly well in spurts, but for the most part, one aspect of the game was having problems. Whether it be a small UI glitch or a game breaking issue causing me to reload my latest save, it was more often than not, something. That being said, the storytelling and world building executed here by CDPR is nothing short of phenomenal. There are so many characters to fall in love with and when the game hits its high moments, there are truly few other experiences in gaming that can rival it. It’s just a shame that the rest of the experience built around the story, plot, and characters is underwhelming.

I've had a lot of fun with this game, but lots of bugs & crashes (I'm playing on PS4 pro with internal ssd upgrade). That being said the developer has acknowledged the flaws & have a road map to make the game more playable with major updates in January & February. I think this game is getting more flak than it deserves. If you are willing to wait a bit & can get your hands on a PS5, Xbox Series, or a high end PC with Ampere or RDNA2 GPUs you will probably get the experience closer to what was advertised.

Fun game when it's not so buggy. Story and side quest are fun. But it gets annoying when the game crashes or other stupid stuff happens that makes the game bug out. Hopefully the patches come sooner than later.

I was very surprised at how good this game really is. I started playing it on a ps5 and did have some bugs but nothing really game breaking. Bugs are there but it is just random stuff. This game has all the potential to be game of the year if it wasn't for the bugs. I was not going to play it as it is a first person shooter and i really don't like fps games. Decided to get it since Best Buy had it for $9 and was surprised it was a good game.

CD Projekt Red or their publishers dropped the ball on this game. It was announced 8 years ago before PS4/XBOX ONE were released and the game is full of glitches, bugs, super low and constant framerates for aforementioned consoles. It plays substantially better on current gen systems (PS5/SERIES X/S) but still has some of the same problems. What’s worse is that they knew this game performed terribly yet still released it. With all the previous times the game has been delayed , they should’ve honestly just waited another full year, or cancelled the PS4/XBOX ONE versions.

Yes this game did not have a good launch. I didnt get the same problems everyone else had with there base ps4 but I agree overall this game should have looked better but with that being said the content was still there and I did find cyberpunk to be a fun game to play and I look forward to playing again whenever I get my ps5. Do I recommend the game? On next gen yes or current gen? They have made minor improvements so that choice is up to you. But with all the issues aside this is a really good game

great potential but definitely an unfinished product. I'd wait until they patch all the bugs and crashes (even on ps5) and release the official next gen update

Great game, but FULL of bugs/glitches. Currently I cannot progress further in the game due to the amount of glitches. DO NOT BUY if you plan on playing on Base PS4, only purchase if you have PS4 Pro/PS5.

Awesome game. A bit glitchy. I paly it on the PS5. I like the character creation. The story is good. Still need to finish it.

Was it as good as they claimed before launch, no, but it's still a solid game after some patching, don't knock it till you've tried it.

A decent game filled with tons of bugs I played about 80 hours on ps5 and crashed multiple times only while driving which is weird but overall I think the game is pretty good but it needs a lot of work

Went in with no expectations for the game (PS5) and am enjoying it so far. Graphics are nice and the gameplay is smooth. Missions are varied and there's a lot to do. Game crashes once every 4 hours or so and there are some glitches (ex: occasionally autosaves during death so you respawn and die continuously until you reload a different save). Giving 4 stars because of reported PS4 unplayability and how much of the promised content was cut out. Looking forward to more updates to improve the game.

The story and game play is stunning. But too much bugs and crush. Better go olay rdr2 for now and come back later after Feb

I attempted to play this after the 1.6 update. The problems that were being reported at launch looked to have been addressed for the most part. What I found was a new problem - the game would crash frequently when saving or loading a game. This was on a new game started on the 1.6 update. My favorite search engine showed there are others having the same problem. For now, the game is back on the shelf awaiting further updates. I picked this up for $5, not expecting too much. I'd recommend you do the same.

Returned it before opening because I saw the countless reviews informing players that was unplayable on console. Months later and it is still unplayable. Don't see that changing for old gen consoles. (PS4 and xbox360) This is a game with a good story, uniquely designed world, and memorable characters for people who watched PC playthroughs. But this game with the amount of bugs, graphical issues, and crashes cannot earn more than 1 star for this particular system.

Awesome game! Story is very in depth and filling. Wish the game was less glitchy on PS4, but I’m hoping that improves soon.

I haven't played too too much...but so far, it's just okay. I picked this up on Sale for $10 and not that it's worth just that. The game itself is grand, open sandbox, customization...but something about the actual gameplay for me is off? I loved the Witcher series and the Witcher 3...but this doesn't really play like that that. It's very buggy still even with the updates. The controls seems stiff, and it wants to do too much maybe? There's a lot of different combat styles and skills...where it can be a bit overwhelming. I'll give it another try...but I would recommend picking it up on Sale and if you're not expecting much.

Cyberpunk ps4 is a bit of a mixed bag of a game for me. I've played it on a gaming pc with an rtx 3090 and, with this purchase, a launch edition ps4. I can definitively say that the ps4 version is significantly more bug-ridden than the pc version. The frame rate is low and the resolution is on the edge of unbearable. With this being said, however, I did not experience any major glitches and the game is certainly playable, if just barely. If the PlayStation is the only option you have to play the game, I would recommend going with this as the story really is excellent. If you have any other platform to play the game on, however, I would recommend you stay away from this version of the game.
