Customers are saying

Customers highly value Cyberpunk 2077's captivating story and immersive open world. However, many reports cite significant issues with game performance, including glitches and crashes. The game's artificial intelligence also received criticism. While some found the price reasonable, the technical problems overshadowed other positive aspects for a significant portion of players.

I waited 7 months to submit a review. I remember when Witcher 2 and 3 came out, those games needed a lot of work, but were fantastic end results. This game was clunkier at launch, but I held faith that CDPR would come through. 7 months later and still waiting. Every-time they release an update I'll jump back in just to see if it's better. I still crash daily (and I'm now on PS5). Originally played it on PS4 Pro. But bugs and crashes can be corrected, and I still believe CDPR will make a stable game. Unfortunately that can't fix the core problems. A. It's boring. It's just boring. They turned vibrant and dense sci-fi journey into a futuristic blade runner style game into a bunch of boring fetch quests, particularly when one of the things that made Witcher 3 standout was it's quests were fun! The combat isn't fun, on harder difficulties you get one shotted, On lower difficulties the guns make no difference, you might as well run around with Sir John P.... the whole game. B. graphically it's not impressive. For a game made a decade after GTA, and meant to mimic some of it's successes, it failed miserably. Driving isn't fun, cops are just dumb (they apparently added them late in development and never got it right). This game as a multiplayer experience would be a snooze. Hate to bring up the Witcher 3 comparison, but on the PS5 the Witcher 3 looks and feels legitimately better. Someday this game may be worth playing, but for now, 19.99 is too much to spend on it, 10$ might be worth it, but you'll have to stomach crashes, cars falling from the sky, clothing disappearing and reappearing, and Keanu Reeves, just a regular dude, with an impressive... ability to cash CDPR checks.

A Surprisingly Fun and Solid Game

A surprisingly solid game, despite the overwhelming negative reviews on the console version. After downloading the latest patch, the game performs well enough on my base PS4 (there are still some frame rate hitches and bugs), but the game is fun enough where I can enjoy the story and gameplay. The shooting mechanics feel very tight, and I like exploring the city. This especially comes highly recommended after purchasing this game for only $10 (which came in with a free steel book case). I look forward to one day owing a PS5 so I can upgrade this game.

Aside from the many issues at lunch, this game's story and ambitious world design, and outstanding character design, make it a top-class AAA title in its own right.

Game is fun and story is great, but the bugs and fps are very disappointing, but giving 4 stars because I know CDPR will hammer out the issues as they did with Witcher 3

The purchase at Best Buy was quick and easy. The game itself is waiting for updates before it can play flawlessly. It's an awesome game, just needs a couple of patches.

You don't need to read another review about the last gen console problems this game is facing. I will say on ps4 pro it hasn't been to unbearable, and 75% of the time the game is very enjoyable. If you can play on PC or wait until you have a next gen console.

Good game and now has fewer crashes with the new patch. Has a nice character builder with many options. A vast character tree to pick from and a easy crafting system.

I gave this game 5 stars, but know I am reviewing the PS5 upgrade that came out this year. The 1.5 patch has made the game stable and I am glad I waited to try it. Because of that I missed the poor state it launched in. This game has been a real gem though. Story is engaging, game design is what I come to expect from CD projekt Red. Worth playing. Looking forward to the expansions that are still planned for it.

Game was fun, havent played since the new updates but forat couple of updates, the game would have tons of texture problems and some crashes.i beat the game although i didnt do everything the game had to offer it was an enjoyable story in my opinion. BUT! Now this is a big but,the game developers talked this game up alot and didnt meet everyones expectations, is it a game worth playing yes of course, had me wanting to keep playing, even though the crashes and bugs kept happening.if the game had been delayed it might have been alot better, with that said its still an intriguing story and thrilling gameplay.

Aside from the Trainwreck that was the release of this game, I found myself still able to have fun with it. Combat's not everything that was promised but still comparable to other story games. It's no future-GTA but I still enjoyed myself.

Game is good but not great at this point. Does have a lot of bugs and glitches but is fun to play. Its fine if you have a next gen console. PS5 or Series X but would not recommend playing it on PS4 or Xbox One. Hardware cannot handle the game.
