Playing on Xbox Series X, it's not optimized for newer generation hardware. I find the advertising from Best Buy misleading because it says that the optimization is included - not entirely true. It's not included, but CDPR has committed to providing the upgrade for no additional cost when made available (which there is no committed timeline). It looks good with 60 FPS and HDR but it's last gen graphics. The game is also wrought with visual bugs - I encountered a floating cigarette 10 minutes into the game. AI is terrible, on par with Skyrim. Overall I'm disappointed with the purchase. Why buy at launch if I'm waiting for bugfixes and optimizations? My recommendation is to wait if you have a backlog of other games so you can experience it at it's fullest in 2021 or 2020.

Not worth the hype on PS4. Graphics are terrible- on PS4 Pro. Looks like GTA 3 at best. They should have taken notes from Watchdogs Legion, Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima to show that graphics can be great on the last gen consoles. I don’t think the story is that good. Very short for an rpg- main story is only about 15 hours. There are side missions, but main story should be the focus. Driving is terrible. NPC's are bullet sponges- takes forever to kill someone. For a game that’s taken this many years- it’s just not in good shape. Lots of bugs and crashes. Very slow loading times. Keanu Reeves is flat and boring. Give me Troy Baker or Nolan North any day. Other voice actors in the game are way better than Keanu. I’d pass on this one- I’m selling mine.

Game isn't garbage, but far from great. I avoided all the hype initially, simply trusted the company behind the witcher to make an amazing open world rpg. I won't even talk about the bugs and crashes. Just from a gameplay standpoint, the game feels very dated and bland. It feels like a game from 2015 that's fallout mated with a bloated ubisoft game. The game is glittered with small little missions that contain no meaning or importance (bloat), the city is divided into gang territories but does very little to make any gang standout or matter which strips any fun of exploring -- you won't find anything interesting. The main campaign is solid, but you'll find side missions with a few key characters the best. Game doesn't feel like it has any replayability. I mentioned the hype earlier because I didn't follow it so I didn't know everything the game was suppose to offer. Ive since gone back and watched and read features the game was suppose to have; and wow, did they oversell and completely drop the ball. Too much to discuss here. All that said, the game is still fun. It has bones like it was built to last 200 hrs, but im 60hrs in and just running dot to dot on the map clearing up bloat. Theres some fun skill trees that allows you to mix hacking with brawling or shooting. The hard difficulty offers a solid "challenge" without being over bearing, there's are some beautiful environments and great characters. Overall it's just ok, pick it up on sale for 30 or something.

Amazing now that updates have happened and the game is closer to what they originally sold

Not as big of an open-world game like Skyrim, but this game is definitely big enough to explore. You have many cool side quests and have opportunities to get cool free items. Just keep in mind that if you watch older YouTube videos of interesting hacks or glitches, some stuff has been updated in the latest patch. Been looking for a RPG game similar in gameplay to Mass Effect and Dragons Age, and it definitely is.

After so much hype and delay the game was not worth the wait. Story is the best part of the game. Graphics are good but not great. Has bugs and glitches. The map is overcrowded with icons it makes it hard to see. Trying to figure out how to do something in the menu like managing inventory and skills and just general layout is overcrowded and to hard to figure out how to do things. I think they tried to put too much in the game and it makes it overwhelming. There is no real guidance or help doing quests. Not worth the money and I have requested a refund.

Very fun game, especially on the Xbox Series X. Great graphics and a lot of fun.

This game after all patches and a next gen update has been amazing. Great looking game, lots of voice acting, rarely hearing the same dialogue repeated even by npcs. So many fun mechanics and ways to approach each mission and side quest. I havent had this much fun in an open world rpg since Fallout New Vegas. Worth playing through.

This review has no mention of the quality or performance of the game, rather the actual game itself. In a nutshell, this is like Deus Ex, but worse...and I really liked the Deus Ex series. CONS (yes it's pretty crap) Story takes a LONG time to get going Tutorials not comprehensive enough to help with weapons/crafting Tons of cutscenes, I couldn't skip fast enough PROS Open world Decent weapons (upgrade melee weapons!) Save your frustration, time, money and buy The Witcher or Assassins' Creed if you want a mix between strategy/story/action.

Love the game. Playing on series X. I have not encountered any major bugs and with a patch most every day has only gotten better. No crashes or corrupt quest so far. Really like at least for series x.

Wait on the ps5 upgrade to play it its was on $16..

Played this on Xbox one X so my rating isn't indicative of the xbox one version. On the Xbox one X the game runs and looks great. It is very buggy and my game crashed once and froze a few times but they were pretty rare and so didn't change my overall experience. Definitely would recommend to Xbox one X owners.

I regret paying full price for this as do a ton of other people, the updates have helped but I’m just not a big game of the gameplay even without all the glitches

Awesome Game Very Fun and Addictive Hours and Hours of Stuff to do. Almost Like a Futurastic Grand theft auto game. Dont Know what everyone is talking about all the bugs I think people just like to B****!

How can you pass on a game this hyped for $5, even with all the glitches the free steelbook is worth twice that.

$5 was a great deal! Its just the base game but can't beat that price!
