GTA open world RPG game with bad performance on previous gen console. Performance improved a bit on Xbox One X. Since moved to Series x where performance improved alot but game still has bugs.
Developer will patch the game like past games and fix issues like the Witcher 3. Witcher 3 had problems and were fixed. Xbox series X patch still has not been released so improvement are only console driven.

Game runs beautifully. I know it got off to a rough start but the game runs well. I only encountered a few glitches that were very minor (loot falling in unreachable area). The skill tree can be very overwhelming and wish there was a way to reset attribute points but still enjoyed it none the less. Definitely worth the price!

Is this game buggy? Yes
Does this game run bad on last gen? Yes
But
Is it one of the best open world to come out recently? Yes
Is it’s story and characters A-1? Yes
Despite all its, at least to me, visual bugs, it’s still one of the best games I’ve played. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve played less and less of video games as they just don’t capture my attention enough to want me to keep playing it for hours, but this one does. Cyberpunk and Doom Eternal are the only single player games in recent years that I spent a good 30-40 hours in without even knowing it. The gunplay feels great and the ragdoll physics with a power/tech shotguns are laughably fun and stupid. I love getting silenced critical headshots with snipers as I sit way beyond enemies line of sight. I love getting into battles way beyond my level to have frustrating fun gunfights. This is going to be a controversial topic but... it’s like Skyrim with guns. Just as buggy and fun for no apparent reason. If you have a next gen system or a powerful PC, get it.

Great game. Runs very well on Xbox one X with an external SSD. Sure there are bugs but those are getting patches out weekly. Over all a great game. Huge open world. Probably could have benefited from a longer development. Definitely better if you have a series X but if you have a one X it runs well enough to play.

Awesome deal for $10 have spent hours having fun in the city and the outskirts.. definitely worth it if youre a fan of gta.. its basically a new GTA with a cyber twist which makes it even cooler. After all of the updates this game is finally worth the money for the most part.

I want to start off by saying that my review of cyberpunk is strictly based on my personal experience with the game. Cyberpunk is a story-driven sandbox that allows the player to experience the story the way they see fit. Whether you want to be a gun-wielding juggernaut or a silent sword-wielding assassin. The game is designed to give you multiple play styles which helps with the replayability. The story itself is interesting but honestly isn't the greatest one in recent memory. However, the side missions are thought out and engaging to where they don't feel like busy work or just a checkmark to complete on that map. I played on an Xbox series X and the amount of bugs/glitches that I encountered was limited. I did have a few force shutdowns or issues where I would need to reload from a checkpoint which was frustrating. CDPR does a good job at providing updates and patches, but this game does have issues and problems that should have been fixed before launch. Overall it's a good game that is worth the money, but can potentially be great if CDPR patches it accordinally.

Playing this on the X ox Series X and the graphics are very good. Lots of content. It’s very long which can be good or bad depending on your view. You certainly get you moneys worth. A bit repetitive on gather items and mystery’s. The Lore is a. It deep in some end game sections that I had no clue about but others may get it.

I have a feeling this is going to get the No Man's Sky treatment but as of now it's a terrible game. Stay away *for now*
For the last 20 years, open-world games have at least had AI to tell cars how to do basic things like follow you or drive around blockages in the road or flee if there's danger. If you think they'd have it in a game in this decade then sadly you're wrong. If you're wanted by the police, they just spawn around you, sometimes right in front of you. If you drive up the road, they can't figure out where you went. If you park your car in the road you'll create an endless pile of cars behind you because they don't know how to change lanes or drive around. Shoot a gun at a car? Well, they will just get out of the car and cower indefinitely. As you do.
The RP in this game is very linear. Your starting point matters very little. The extra dialogue options don't lead you to any new places. You're on an RP rail but you can change the ending. I just picked whatever came at the top after realizing on a second playthough it didn't matter and it all did the same thing.
Keanu is a great action actor, but a terrible dramatic actor and it shows in this as much as it did in Dracula. The other voice actors were great though.
The menu system is very basic even for previous gen. The map in the HUD does more hard than good since you can't see where the next turn is until right at the last second. The cars drive like boats. The side quests are mostly rinse and repeat (go kill people and get McGuffin.) The FPS element is very basic and not fun because it takes forever to kill enemies no matter what difficulty setting. That would be fine if the ammo wasn't so scarce. The hacking system is the only good part about the combat.
The story is good, the graphics are impressive and that's where the compliments end.
I am playing this on an XBSX and I haven't run into any real performance issues even before the hotfixes. However, the glitches are really bad to the point of entertaining. Seeing cars randomly dip into the road, explode or fall out of buildings, or having your body fly across the screen because you bumped into a piece of glass is hilarious. Unfortunately, a lot of them pile up. I wasn't able to speed up dialogue after a while. Parts of my body or clothing would vanish and not come back no matter if I changed them. It's a mess.
I'm sure by the time 2021 is about to close, this will be a solid game. We're nowhere near that now. Save your money, buy a good game, get it on sale when it's fixed.

Game looks great and has and amazing story and gameplay. It does however have a lot of glitches most of which have thankfully been resolved. Would suggest playing game on Xbox One X or Series X for optimal experience! They still have some glitches but not as bad as the base xbox one console.

I'm playing on a Xbox One X. reviewing for that version mainly.
Pros:
Story is great, sidequests are great and a tiny bit of the time the graphics are awesome. Night City a living, breathing character itself at times. Can really see the passion the devs put into the project.
Cons:
Boy is it buggy. some of them are game crashing. I have had a good number of the game crashing kind. Boatload of the weird glitches where people and objects pop in and out of nowhere.
the graphics are really bad most of the time, as the rendering is trying to catch up to the scenes.
really unfortunate that the execs pushed this out before it was ready. it needed time for the devs to polish this correctly. it just isn't optimized for the late gen models at all.
Overall: good game right now but i'd wait until they finally patch the game correctly to get the full experience of the game.
giving it a 4/5 as I know it will get patched. no company will let this ride the way it currently is. I have faith in the devs at CDPR.

It's true, this launch in late 2020 was a bit of a disaster in every aspect. Got to play it a year later when I finally got my hands on a Series X and I will say that while I experienced my fair share of typical open-world glitches, this is a largely polished product that feels like the ultimate power fantasy. Call it Cyber-Skyrim and you wouldn't be far off the mark. The stories are soldily written with some fairly predictable turns and twists, but are nonetheless enjoyable and your actions have definite impact on the progress/path you take throughout the game (i.e. opening new routes and closing off others, making for a ton of replay value). Graphically, for what's effectively an upscaled Xbox One game on the Series X, I can't imagine how good it'll look when we get a version that's actually tailored to take advantage of the Series X's power - becuase it looks phenomenal overall. The city has a real doom & gloom feel to it, the menacing Corporations loom over everything in a constant reminder of who's running thiungin Night City, and the sprawled Cali desert on the ends of town remind you just what it takes to keep a metropolis like that running - in terms of power, water, and livelihoods. Gunplay is solid and weaponry is varied and all feels markedly different. The skillsets you choose to groom will tweak your character to favor a stealth approach, front-end, or technical - without ever closing off access to the others so you don't get oversatured by approaching missions the same way over and over. Overall a very impressive product and worth the time they took to get it right - good on CD Projekt Red for sticking by their product and not letting it fall by the wayside. Looking forward to 2022 and the DLC!

I am one of the lucky few at the moment with a Xbox Series X. With the power of the now current gen Xbox, Cyberpunk runs pretty well.
It has its share of bugs and glitches, more than I recall in any game I've played prior. However 95% of the time they're not game breaking.
I have had a few that have shut down my Xbox. However turning it back on and getting right back to the game is not difficult and the game proceeds very close to where you just were.
I did not try it on my One X. I imagine that experience is worse.
But for Series X owners, don't worry about the bugs. They'll likely get fixed soon.

After all the delays the game seems only halfway finished? Good news, if you have a twisted sense of humor some gaffs are hilarious: riding naked on top of the car instead of in it(nice butt! Who's driving?), guns floating in the air(stay right there. I'll kill you in a minute), choice of intimate body parts(wish we could find out how long the guys spent on this).I could go on...Graphics are amazing as are the details. But how do you worry about intimate body parts(unless it has a rocket launcher in it, who cares),and not older gen consoles. I bought this for my soninlaw for Christmas, he was so excited, yet after reading and seeing all the problems I felt like I should apologize. Thank goodness his XBOX 1 seems to be running it fine. What can I say: it is an AMAZING looking game, incredibly detailed offering lots of action, but bs aware of the flaws and potential patches before you buy.

The Good: The game is really in-depth and there is so much to do unless you just do all the main mission straight away. You can get lost in all the side missions and police calls and events in the world.
This game is really awesome with the graphics and colors as well as the ability to change the game drastically based on play style, choices and how you build your reputation in the game.
the Bad: Yes the game has some pretty crazy glitches at the most unexpected times and for really unexpected reasons. However, there are not a lot of games that are glitch free anyways.
The Ugly: Very unhappy the game was not updated for the Xbox series X like originally planned before release, the audio is great and the graphics are clean. However, I was expecting a much better frame rate and so real great use of the series X power and up to 8k display capabilities.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a fantastic first-person shooter/GTA-style open world sandbox game, with a deep main story, loads of character customization, and over 100 hours of gameplay. BUT... only if you're playing on an Xbox One X, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, or gaming PC. Standard Xbox One, PS4, and PS4 Pro gamers need not apply, as this game is far too buggy to function on the older systems. Xbox One X players will encounter thr occasional frame rate drop, visual glitch (ex. floating objects, low-res textures, etc.), and even crashes, but on the whole the game plays well on the more powerful platforms. A few more patches should fix most of the current issues, which CD Projekt Red are currently developing, so Cyberpunk will be a great game... with time, patience, and updates. Conclusion: Buy it now if you have a new Xbox Series X/S or PS5, but wait a few months if you don't.

CDPR really screwed up with this one. It's a pretty fun game, but it was NOT ready to be released and they shouldn't have rushed to get it out for the holiday season. Rhe story was amazing, but feels like things were left out because they didn't have time to finish them to hit that magical street date. There are so many bugs in this game, even on nex-gen consoles. And aure there have been updates since, but is it too little, too late? I know I'll never purchase a CDPR game again. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because the story was really good.

The story so far is amazing. The characters the music the guns. All incredible things. Its a shame its getting so much hate because of the bugs. If you have a base Xbox One,be careful with this game as it does have issues. I play on a Xbox One X and have almost zero issues. I get a freeze for about 5 seconds but thats about it. I would highly recommend this game to anyone. The issues will be fixed soon so if you want to wait I still would recommend you pick up this game. Under all the bugs theres A LOT of AMAZING things about this game. I gave it a good rating because the its fantastic just needs the tech problems fixed. If you are on base console like XB1 or PS4 I would wait. But I would still give this game a try at some point. The memes are funny but I really enjoy this. Hope yall enjoy it too :)
