LED bulbs. Not a new thing. There are a lot of different manufacturers out there. These... ok, popped up on sale so I picked some up to try them out. Setup wasn't particularly difficult. I've got Echo devices (Amazon Alexa,) and once I set up the app, it connected fairly painlessly - other than losing one bulb somehow and having to just ignore that group. Not sure what happened there. (My Echo Studio behaves as a hub. Earlier devices sound like they may need one.) They're not hard to use - obviously leave the light switch on if you're putting them, say, in a bathroom or somewhere switched, since they won't react without power (do I *really* need to point that out?) if you want to voice control them with Alexa, Google, Apple or whoever, or the app. The color range is ... ok. Five or six white variations from cool blue "day white" to just "white" to an orangey "warm." And several preset colors, crimson, orange, gold, yellow, purple and more. There isn't a way to select/blend your *own* color (that I could find, at least - I'll own up to missing it if there is,) which should be doable, honestly. They've got a good range of bright/dim, too. So am I still using them? Well... no. But not from any fault of the bulbs. I tested them using a bathroom over mirror fixture (I don't really have or need *that* many lamps right now.) Part of the idea was - well, yes, just to play with and test them and get some ideas on what I want to do with them. But part of it was to perhaps have lights I could just turn off when I forget to by voice (versus... ok, I want to be lazy and not get back up out of bed. :) ) Or have them dim at certain times (be a night light, essentially.) With where I *had* them, though - yes, they worked for that, but I couldn't break the habit of just turning them off. Makes it hard to turn on at 3 AM by voice that way. How would I use them? I could very easily see these being used in ceiling fixtures/lights, for instance, and just being tied to routines, from a simple "lights on/off," to having your smarthome turn them on in the evenings, or even doing what I'd wanted to do, but on a larger scale ("*device name,* night lights on" turning on a dimly lit path to the door or kitchen or what have you, on devices you don't have a smart switch on.) And yes... the colors can be fun to play with, too. For most things, a simple LED light - or smart white LED, which is a bit cheaper than these typically - would probably work, honestly. But these do open up a few more options. (You know, while I'm thinking about it, I almost could have used these in a smart system back when I was taking care of a sick parent. Can't hear them across the house? Have a set up where they can say some keyword and have it light up red in another room where I was working...that would've been nice. But expensive 7-8 years ago.)

The GE Cync RGB lightbulbs are a great buy for the ~$20 if you're looking for a straightforward product. After downloading the Cync app, connecting to the bulbs can be a little troublesome at first. You're greeted by a fantastic strobing light show for around 4 minutes while updates install and such, but after that, I have experienced no issues with connectivity. They stay connected to wifi all the time, allowing me to turn them on and off from wherever I please. The color options are plentiful, and after around 4 months of use I have found no problems thus far.

I haven’t experienced any of the setup / connection issues as other recent reviewers. Have 4 light strips and 8 A19 bulbs, zero issues connecting through the C by GE app. Note that while you do connect the bulbs to your WiFi during setup, the app on your phone connects through Bluetooth. I personally find the app easy to use and rather functional. You can group lights together, create “scenes” having various lighting configurations, put lights on a schedule. The lights themselves have full RGB and color temp adjustments in addition to brightness. They emit a pleasant light across the color spectrum and brightness level (daylight at 100% brightness is rather intense though). Not sure what more you could want from smart lighting. For the current price ($10 per light compared to $30 per light for Hue) you can’t go wrong

I bought the 2-pack of these bulbs when they were featured as a Deal of the Day. My only regret is that I didn't buy a few more packages. Most of the lamps in my house have 3-way switches and it is pretty much impossible to setup the bulbs that need to be put into pairing mode. With these, I just downloaded the Cync app, screwed in the bulbs, turned on the lamp and followed the pairing instructions - took less than 5 minutes for the first lamp and less than 2 minutes the 2nd time. The colors are great and I like how easy it is to either dim the lamp or turn up the brightness. I think these are a bit pricey at the regular price so I'm waiting until the next time they are on sale to purchase more for the other lamps in my house.

I love the light bulbs. Cheaper than the Philips ones but these can be hard to integrate into the Google system even out of the box. I've had several GE Lighbulbs in the past and at that time I used the CbyGE app (now Cync). You add it on the app and then sync your account on the Google Home app. Well, that has since changed. You can directly add the bulbs from the Home app now. Excited won't have to troubleshoot issues on 2 seperate apps, I chose to add directly from the Home app. PITA if I must say. It sees the bulbs quite alright but it will not blink when selected. I did this for all 4 bulbs and got the same results then I had to factory reset it (remember these are new bulbs and haven't been used before). After doing so, I was able to start the addition only to get to the "add to a room" part and then get an error on the final lap. All to say I eventually had to go the old route for these bulbs which was to add it first on the Cync app then move in to the google app. Not as seamless as one would think. What I dislike the most about the Cync app is the scenes setup. Even after setting a schedule, time after time, these bulbs decide to have a mind of their own. Either come on 2PM in the morning or randomly go off 7:15PM in the evening. When it works, it's great, when it starts to play the light switch game with you, can be frustrating. (I think my Kasa light bulbs have held up better - not had to do any work on them since installing way back 2020)

Bought these lights to show our support during the pandemic. The colors are really beautiful. It does a lot more colors than I expected. You can time them out when you want them to turn off and on and the app was easy to set up everything on a timer. I am looking forward to changing the colors for different events in the future, but for the moment, we are keeping them green until the pandemic is over. Hopefully it is soon. Just doing my part. Carry on.

Got the light bulbs to put in my house. The app was difficult to navigate and get everything connected, but totally worth the atmosphere I would get from the bulbs. The lighting can be dimmed or brightened and has a variety of colors to choose from. You could also set specific lighting for specific times. It could be a little delayed or funky sometimes, but overall was enjoyable. Great for those who have chronic migraines; I would be able to change the color to one that wouldn’t strain my eyes and dim the light so it wasn’t as bright.

Love these light bulbs. I have them in all my rooms. Colors are bright and vibrant. I love the range from warm light to cool. Super easy to use and connects well with both Alexa and Google mini.

Colors are really cool, easy set up and use with Alexa. Percent of light is also a great feature. Only 4 stars because multiple lights Bluetooth set up gets weird. My Alexa app will only recognize 2 out of 4. Have get to resolve the issue.

These have great color options and very easy to set up. Definitely an affordable option.

The app lacks in customization options when compared to Phillips Vue but at the same time is far more affordable. It gets the basic done but if you’re trying to have a dance party with the bulbs syncing up to your spotify playlist, then go with Phillips Vue. You can still change colors, adjust brightness and setup routines with the cync app which is more than enough for most users including me.

Easy to hook up and very bright. I like the functionality and appreciate the value compared to Hue bulbs. Honestly the -1 comes from the app, which is simultaneously both clunky and not very detailed... really limited on what you can do, and many useful features cannot be activated automatically. Also no widget, which blows my mind.

The price for the lights are a deal. Easy to install the app to your phone. You csn connect to alex which was perfect for me. I have had a few issues with the lights turning on by them self or disconnecting once in a while but its not hard to reconnect or turn tge liggts back off.

Very simple to setup with the "Cync" app. If you want to add to Alexa app you need to first add the bulbs to the Cync app. Tip: Setup all timers/color settings in the Alexa app (skip that setup in the Cync app) so that the two app settings do not conflict, once you do that you will never need to open the Cync app again. Other than that, they work perfectly and the full spectrum of colors is available to pick from. Very satisfied

I bought these for our bedroom night stands for something different thsn just a white light. Setup was very easy and controlling them with Alexa is flawless. Multiple colors to choose from for the perfect ambiance.

Very happy when I took the chance to buy this after trying to find a color changing bulbs that does not require a HUB. These bulbs require both a Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth connection to setup. After setup you can manipulate the bulbs to your liking. You can save a lot of themes/presets using the Scene tab on the App which allows you to control each individual bulb giving you exactly what you want (dimness and color). Other than that, really recommend these bulbs for those that don't want to deal with hubs or don't need color changing for the entire house.
