Inconsistent connection with Google Home. Plus the colors were no bright or distinct enough. They're inexpensive, but after return them for some Phillips Hues I now see you get what you pay for.

YOU NEED THE HUB FOR ALEXA lol

So it was too late before I figured out that you NEED THE HUB to make this work with Alexa.
It did work with the Alexa skill for about 24 hours then it stopped. I checked and many people have this problem. A little annoying that was the case. I didn't want to by the hub and commit to GE until I tried out some other brands. Then one of the bulbs died. Support was slow responding and not very much help. While dealing with support, my return time ran out. So I threw them away.
Maybe they've updated them by now or at least updated the box so it doesn't say Alexa on it anymore, since that's technically not true. But I don't really care anymore, I want my 25 review points.

Thanks for reaching out and bringing this to our attention. The Direct Connect bulbs do not require a hub to link them to your Alexa speaker. To use voice commands to control the devices through Alexa you will need an Alexa voice speaker for that. If you have the bluetooth bulbs then you will need a Cync Wifi enabled smart plug to use as a hub to link your bulbs to your Alexa speaker. If you only plan on using it as a regular light bulb it works fine. But if you want the smart features, well this isn't the product. Loses connectivity to the GE app and Alexa. We have given up trying to pair it.

Will never buy these again. I can not get these to reconnect to my wifi after I upgraded my system. It will no longer connect to any of my smart home systems that it was originally compatible with. I have to login to my phone to turn on the lights or adjust the settings. Definitely not doing the job I purchased them for.

These devices will not connect to 5g networks and if you have a mesh blended network then you will need to disable 5g momentarily to connect and then re-enable 5g.
