so-so Souls game

I don't consider it an "awful" game by any stretch, but after playing Dark and Demon's Souls, this game is lacking mostly in polish. Very poor hitboxes and a washed-out look hurt the game. Other odd design choices, such as insane enemy tracking and a poor UI with item management compared to the first two games, are bothersome as well. The base level design isn't that great compare to the other games either. It does retain that core Souls style of gameplay however, and at its base you can see what kind of game I wants to be. If you're a fan of those games, by all means, play it, and if you can get past its faults you may enjoy it, but be aware that it is definitely lacking.
