Although the graphics were good you need to make sure your TV or monitor is set properly. The action okay but nothing special.

This game is hard and it is not shy about it. This game has a reputation and it lives up to it. You will be challenged, you will be frustrated. It. Is. Hard.

I know some people have mixed feelings about this game, but Scholar of the First Sin is definitely worth playing. The NPC invasions feel like real people (most of the time) as do the NPC summons to help you. In fact I end up looking up several just to make sure they really were an NPC and not a real player. The Forlorn invasions are a nice mix; they aren't ragingly inconvenient but the are challenging when they occur. There are plenty of NPCs to help with boss fights. the new humanity system works well; it doesn't require you to horde humanity and it seems easier to get than in the first game. Spells are plentyful (maybe too much so), and don't require you to do multiple play-throughs to get extra castings. My only complaints about this game are that there are a few areas that are unnecessarily packed with enemies that make the game a pain for no reason: shrine of amana is one, in which you constantly get spammed by spells from castors from halfway across the area. Another issue for me is the game seems to favor spell characters as there are some ridiculously powerful spells that don't let melee characters get close to the other player. Finally, bosses are somewhat disappointing. Most seem way too easy, like why even bother being a boss easy (looking at you greed demon and song demon). Some others feel way too strong and the whole fight is about you standing behind them and hacking at them to avoid any damage. The pursuer fights I've found the most challenging yet fun. But I haven't gotten through the DLC yet so here's hoping there are others. But overall, great game and I look forward to playing DS3.

After playing the original Dark Souls 2, I had high expectations for Scholar of the First Sin. I can say all of my expectations were reached. DS2 on Xbox one is a perfect match.

Fun challenging RPG, its fun wiith the vast character options. Unforgiving in many places as there isnt a clear direction to head unless you watch youtube videos and such.

If you are playing Dark Souls 2, I imagine you have played part 1. Therefore, you know what to expect. If not, go play Dark Souls (on easy) and come back here.

The game itself is improved and actually different from the standard AI enemies to the very places you thought were safe or dangerous.

Hard game and controls are weird for Xbox compared to PlayStation since all I do is play PlayStation. When game went on sale was kind of bummed I waited a couple days because they only had it in Xbox left not PS4 so that in itself ruined it for me. Game is fun though and definitely hard.
